In the seventh episode, we will talk about lthe first ever commercial and all-civilian spacewalk in history - happening this summer!
The Polaris Dawn mission is a groundbreaking endeavor by SpaceX, set to push the boundaries of human space exploration. Scheduled to launch in late 2024, this mission marks the beginning of the Polaris Program, which is designed to advance human spaceflight capabilities and foster the development of space technologies. Another significant milestone for Polaris Dawn is the inclusion of the first commercial extravehicular activity (EVA), or spacewalk, conducted by SpaceX astronauts. This EVA will serve as a critical test for the next-generation spacesuits that are being developed for future missions to the Moon and Mars.

In the fifth episode, we will talk about the Manned Maneuvering Unit (MMU) - the astronaut jatpack for untethered spacewalks and its very short history of only 3 missions.
The Manned Maneuvering Unit (MMU) is a device used by astronauts during space shuttle missions to perform untethered extravehicular activity (EVA) in space. Developed by NASA, the MMU allowed astronauts to move freely in space without being tethered to the space shuttle or space station.

In the forth episode, we will talk about the Spacesuit for Spacewalks (EMU), about the Decompression Sickness in Space and the countermeasures - the pre-breathe protocols onboard the ISS.
An Extravehicular Activity (EVA) unit, also commonly referred to as a spacesuit or spacewalk suit, is a specially designed garment worn by astronauts when they venture outside of their spacecraft into the vacuum of space. These suits are crucial for protecting astronauts from the harsh conditions of space, including extreme temperatures, microgravity, and radiation.
