  • The disappearance of the Joe Cool fishing boat in 2007, along with its six passengers and crew, has remained a haunting case in maritime history. On September 22, 2007, the 47-foot sportfish vessel, owned by Jeff Brannum and operated by his nephew Jake Brannum, embarked on a chartered trip from Miami Beach Marina to Bimini. The boat, designed for high-end fishing trips, was not expected to vanish without a trace. However, the events surrounding its disappearance would eventually reveal a terrifying tale of murder and a complex criminal conspiracy.

  • Nona Belomesoff was an 18-year-old full of dreams. She had just graduated high school, and while most of her friends were planning vacations or enjoying summer break, Nona was preparing for her future—specifically, a career in wildlife rescue. Her passion for animals, especially horses, was something that defined her. So, when an opportunity presented itself, she jumped at the chance.

It came in the form of a message from a man named Jason Green. After accepting a job training opportunity with Jason, Nona disappears.

Nona Belomesoff's disappearance was no ordinary case. It was a chilling reminder of how easily trust could be manipulated, how a dream could turn into a nightmare, and how the people we meet online might not always be who they say they are.

  • On September 2, 2003, 17-year-old Justine Vanderschoot disappeared without a trace. Her mother, Lynette, discovered the front door slightly open and Justine’s silver Chevy truck missing, though her purse, dog, and other belongings were still at home. Initially assuming Justine had gone to her boyfriend Danny Bezemer’s house, the family quickly grew concerned when they couldn’t find her. Later that afternoon, Danny called Lynette, revealing that he couldn’t find Justine at work either.

As the investigation began, authorities focused on her relationship with Danny, uncovering issues of control and jealousy. It started becoming clear to investigators that the tragic events that were about to unfold were the result of a toxic teenage romance.

  • PART TWO

In 1993, Jennifer Ertman (14) and Elizabeth Pena (16), were rushing home trying to meet curfew. What should have been an ordinary evening for the teens quickly took a devastating turn when they encountered a group of drunk teenage boys who called themselves the “Black and White” gang.

The story of Jennifer and Elizabeth became a symbol of the need for greater awareness and action against gang activity. During the subsequent trial, victim impact statements were introduced for the first time in the state of Texas, allowing the families of Jennifer and Elizabeth to directly address the court and express the emotional toll the crime had taken on their lives. These statements gave a powerful, personal voice to the victims’ families, highlighting the profound loss and the lasting impact of violence on loved ones. The case not only led to convictions but also marked a turning point in how the justice system handled the voices of victims’ families, offering a way for them to seek closure and ensure their pain was acknowledged.

This case will leave you wondering: How can such evil even exist in the world? And how did they all seem to find each other? How do these paths cross, at that exact moment, when everything could’ve been different?

  • April Gregory’s disappearance became one of the most haunting stories to unfold in Syracuse, New York, during the spring of 1996. On a cool night in May, April Gregory, a promising young woman from a close-knit family, vanished without a trace. She was last seen by her brother around 11 P.M. when he dropped her off at her dormitory at Syracuse University. She had just finished unpacking the two suitcases of clothes she would need for her summer session, but by 5 A.M. the next morning—when she was supposed to start her shift at a nearby McDonald's—April was gone. What began as a missing person case soon took a devastating turn. Authorities uncovered that April’s fate was far more tragic than anyone could have anticipated.

  • The case of Carol Ryan, an unsolved murder in Upstate New York, remains a chilling and perplexing mystery. In 1996, Carol Ryan, a 42-year-old woman from Eastwood, New York, was discovered unconscious after suffering severe injuries from a firework explosion. Authorities believe she may have been intentionally targeted, as the device used was a commercial-grade firework, which suggests a deliberate and brutal attack. The investigation has yielded few leads, and despite efforts from law enforcement and the public, no one has been arrested or charged in connection with her death. Carol Ryan’s case stands as a stark reminder of the dangers lurking in seemingly ordinary places.

If you have any information about Carol Ryan’s case, contact the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office at 315-435-3051. To submit an anonymous tip, text TIPONON and your tip to 847411.

  • In this chilling Part 1 episode, we dive into the tragic and haunting case of the Harris family whose lives were brutally cut short on December 22nd, 1989. The small, tight-knit community of Dryden, NY was shaken to its core when the bodies of 39-year-old Warren Harris, his wife 41-year-old Dodie, daughter 15-year-old Shelby, and son 11-year-old Marc were found in their home just days before Christmas.

For decades after this Christmas crime, Dryden, NY has been referred to as the Village of the Damned. But, for the people who call it home, this portrayal feels like a slap in the face. To the locals, Dryden is more than just a small, quiet … cursed town. The horrific murders of the Harris Family on December 22nd, 1989 were only the beginning of a series of tragic events to strike this small town.

  • It was Christmas night 2003 in the town of Nampa, Idaho. 83 year-old Bob Young and his 73 year-old wife, Idella Young, were set to enjoy a nice quiet Christmas dinner alone in their home. After hearing a knock on their front door, the elderly couple would allow a monster into their home that holiday night. A case that investigators would stop at nothing to solve. Years go by with no suspects and no leads. Persistence pays off when detectives look back on the case with fresh eyes. A killer was always lurking in the background.

  • In 1999, a Jericho, NY homeowner finds a 55-gallon barrel in the crawlspace of his home. The barrel contained the remains of a pregnant woman in her late 20’s. The woman’s purse was at the bottom of the barrel, and inside was a little phone book that would contain all of the answers to this nightmare. Detectives will follow a string of clues that would lead them to a small retirement community in Boca Raton, Florida where they would come face to face with a monster.

  • In the early morning hours of Thanksgiving 1995, a 911 call was placed in Fairfax County, Virginia. Michael Lee had just returned home from a night out to find his neighbor, Elizabeth Harper, running towards him in his yard. Her house was on fire, and she just jumped from a second story window to escape the flames. Her elderly mother and 2 children, Anne (20) and Matt (18), could still be inside. After fire investigators search the home, they find the body of Anne Harper. But, it appeared that Anne had been bludgeoned with a rolling pin and stabbed with a kitchen knife. Who did this to Anne Harper on what was supposed to be a day of thankfulness and gratitude? The Harper's appeared to be a loving family on the outside, but we don't always know what is going on behind closed doors.
