The Last Book Club is a rock band with a fantastical, literary bent. Mike Sennott, Samantha Vick, Sela Davis and Jorge Rodriguez make up this group. They are all game developers and designers but they each bring something different to the music.
However, the music sometimes takes a back seat in our conversation as we take a tangent or 12. Enjoy the silly, the weird and the poignant.
The music is still here though. The episode starts with the intro to "Paladin", one of the tracks they've recently released. Listeners to this episode will also get a taste of 2 unreleased tracks, "The City" and "Book Club". -
Late September Dogs has a storied history with the Seattle After Party. It all stems from the fact that they were working on a special LSD orchestra project and every time they were on it was almost ready to be released. It’s finally released and you can hear the tale from Dan Teisan, Jay Smith and Jackie Farrar.
Also, we get some information on when we will (hopefully) be able to see Late September Dogs live again after we get through this pandemic lockdown.
Make sure to pick up their CD, vinyl, t-shirts and more at LateSeptemberDogs.com/shop -
How are anthropology, web comic, science fiction, Albert Camus and roller derby all related? If you said they are all things discussed in this episode with renaissance woman Liz Argall, you are correct.
I first met her going by the name Betse Nails, her nom de guerre, as part of the Rat City Rollergirls. Since then, she’s gone back to an old passion, writing comics.
Take a listen as we go on a journey with Liz from Australia to the US and where she is going from here.

Melissa Forziat is the owner of Melissa Forziat Events and Marketing. As the first guest on this inaugural episode of Seattle After Party sessions we talk about the effects of the current pandemic on the small businesses that are artists and entertainers. After we finish, we kept talking and had a second conversation. Both conversations were a little different. Let me know what you like best.
