In this episode, Koren talks to Jason Gibbs who is the Mayor Pro Tem of the City of Santa Clarita, a rocket engineer for GP Strategies Corporation, a husband, and a father of two.
Jason Gibbs was born and raised in Santa Barbara. He earned his B.S. and M.S. in mechanical engineering from Cal Poly San Louis Obispo where he met his wife Chandra, an electrical engineer. They've selected Santa Clarita as the home where they want to raise their two young children.
Jason has served on the board for several local non-profit organizations and was elected to the Santa Clarita City Council in 2020. In this podcast, Jason opens up about the lessons he's learned from his unsuccessful city council campaign in 2018 and what he's done to build relationships in the community. They discuss how to lead in a diverse community and how to respond to adversity.
