The Boys are Back in Town (they never left)! Dave gets a new job trafficking people (or helping people who have been trafficked? I'm not sure), Breht talks about his multiple, severe traumatic head injuries (it's not good, folks), and Julian sits in the corner of the Shoeless Shed and shakes his perfectly healthy head disapprovingly for three hours straight... Also, the boys answer your emails and give you life advice.

In this fourth edition of our All Too Human interview series, Breht and Dave welcome their old friend from high school, Christian, into the Shoeless Shed to have an honest conversation about his struggles with alcoholism, methamphetamine, and incarceration. This is the first time Breht and Christian have seen eachother in 15 years!
With these All Too Human interviews, we aim to highlight and destigmatize the mental health and addiction struggles of regular working class people in hopes that we can provide insight into this type of human suffering, help others who struggle with similar things feel less alone, and deepen our understanding of the modern human condition.Outro music: "Learning to Change" by Tidda (Christian)

We recorded this episode a few weeks back, and we didnt have an ending. We planned on coming back in and recording a proper ending before releasing it, but things kinda fell apart. Dave has checked himself into an inpatient rehab facility and will be MIA for a few weeks. The moment he gets out, we will record an episode catching you all up on everything! Until then, hopefully this can suffice!
Also, dont forget to join the patreon and attend the next Shoeless Sangha coming up this Sunday, June 30th! The Reading will be out on patreon in a day or two!Follow us on Insta for updates about the show, Dave, Sanghas, and more.

David reads his super spooky story that began as 7 pages and ended at 70 and nearly drove him mad. Okay, not really, that was other stuff but it sounds scarier that way.
-
This is a rough one. The shoeless boys are going through it. Dave opens up about his recent abuse of DXM, and Breht is in the midst of a bewildering sensorimotor OCD episode. We also discuss multiple substances specifically, including marijuana, alcohol, caffeine, MDMA, and more. At the end, we talk about policy approaches to addiction, how America gets it wrong, how we should approach it societally, and then Judy offers some tips for how to prevent addiction and some hope for those who are struggling with it.Outro Music: "Junkie Church" by AJJ
