Né du souffle d’un harmonium usé, ce nouvel extrait de “Sleeper Hits : Tropical Abstractions” explore en trois temps - temps de la valse, et temps du découpage cinématographique - la question de l’identité et de son révélateur qu’est l'œuvre artistique. Librement inspiré du film “North By Northwest” de Hitchcock, “Kaplan Redux” rejoue à sa manière l’errance du personnage fantoche de George Kaplan au sein d’un territoire porteur de métamorphoses essentielles.

Born of the breath of a worn harmonium, this new extract from "Sleeper Hits : Tropical Abstractions" explores in three steps - the steps of a waltz, and the steps of the cinematic cut - the theme of identity and its revelation in the artistic work. Freely inspired by Hitchcock's "North By Northwest", "Kaplan Redux" re-enacts in its own way the wanderings of George Kaplan's ghostly character in a territory that is the bearer of essential metamorphoses.

Deuxième segment le plus long du projet cinématographique et musical “Sleeper Hits : Tropical Abstractions”, “Figures of Sand” nous transporte dans un vortex de sensations ondulatoires. Conçu sous la forme de vagues sonores et visuelles, ce titre met en scène un duo de danseurs embarqués dans un univers aride et désertique, hanté par la mémoire des pharaons noirs et le chant de muezzins fantômes.

"Figures of Sand" vient d'être distingué par le "Best Creative Award" du Europe Film Festival

Shaped by waves of sound and vision, this track features a duo of dancers embarked in an arid desert universe, haunted by the memory of black pharaohs and the singing of ghostly muezzins.

"Figures of Sand" has just been awarded the "Best Creative Award" by the Europe Film Festival

Pièce maîtresse de Sleeper Hits : Tropical Abstractions, d’une durée de 12 minutes, “Night Of The Lost Explorers” invite à une plongée sensorielle dans un monde englouti.
L’explorateur, personnage romanesque destiné à glorifier la geste de la colonisation se tient, invisible, au centre de ce poème cinématographique et musical, figure symbolique d’un esprit d’aventure aux conséquences funestes. Car le rêve d’un éden tropical vire au cauchemar, dans un clair-obscur bleu nuit qui fait écho aux périples terrifiants d’Au Coeur des ténèbres ou de La Nuit du Chasseur.
