Lizzie and Lyra dive into 9-1-1 Season 8, Episode 14 "Sick Day" aka Part 1 of the 2-part "Contagion" thriller. And while they had a set list of things to talk about in this review, it all went out the window because this episode had them worried for everyone. Worried for Bobby, Chimney, Hen, and Ravi because they're stuck inside the virus riddled building. But also worried about Athena, Buck, and Maddie, who can only listen as their family is in danger. Also there's Eddie, who is in Texas and will probably notice something is wrong because Buck hasn't Facetimed him in hours.

Lizzie and Lyra dive into Eddie taking some major steps forward in their review for 9-1-1's Season 8, Episode 13 "Invisible." Both loved that no matter where Eddie is, his tether to the person who he has become... is Buck. And it gives him the strength to be there for his despite how little his mother and father are doing to fix what has been broken between Eddie and Christopher. Then there's the Hen of it all. They don't believe that everyone would forget her birthday. Nevertheless, she has a right to feel bothered by this. Who wouldn't be?

Lizzie and Lyra dive into Eddie's return to El Paso in their review for 9-1-1's Season 8, Episode 12 "Disconnected." Both loved the way that the show explored Maddie's PTSD after the events of "Voices." But they disagreed on Chris' development (or lack of development) in season 8 so far. And then there's Eddie. He was a walking disaster of an Uber driver but he's trying and that's more than Helena Diaz can say. Finally, they break down what those Buddie calls mean.

Lizzie and Lyra go into the game-changing episode for Buck, that sets the groundwork for Buddie, even though we didn't even see Eddie this episode. They also go into Bobby's mommy issues and how he's earned his anger. Finally, they break down the ghost of "Holy Mother of God," how Tommy continues to be a plot device, and how we're not reading in between the lines anymore. We're reading them now.

Lizzie and Lyra go into Jennifer Love Hewitt's incredible performance as Maddie and Abigail's Spencer's great guest star spot, even as they discuss some of the issues with the stereotyping in the episode. They also discuss why Maddie Han has been a hero for way longer than some people give her credit for and get serious about Madney as a great ship. Finally, they break down that Buddie goodbye, where the ship is going and what that final shot on Buck means.

Lizzie and Lyra go into Season 8 at last, discussing the midseason premiere (aka 8B!), titled "Sob Stories." And it's wiiild ride, with an outstanding Jennifer Love Hewitt in a great episode for Maddie and a rollercoaster ride of emotions for both Buck and Eddie that sort of feels like setup for Buddie and not just in a this is what people want to see happen, but in a this is what the show is setting up kinda way. It's a lot, and they break it all down right here.

Lizzie and Lyra look ahead to 9-1-1 Season 8B. From speculating on whose turn it is on the NDE roulette of death (sorry, Hen), to worrying about the upcoming serial killer storyline, to breaking down Eddie's storyline with Christopher, with his parents and with himself, there's a lot to talk about! Including what they think is coming up for Buddie.

Lizzie and Lyra get their first chance to delve into newer stuff, as they prepare for the back half of Season 8 of 9-1-1, aka Season 8B. And boy, do they have a lot of feelings about how 8A went... including who got a good storyline, which character got more setup than anything cohesive and who basically got nothing good. From the bees, to the plane and the "juice" metaphors, here's their 8A review.

Lizzie and Lyra rewatch Season 1, Episode 5 "Point of Origin" and discuss Bobby's backstory (while crying about it), Hen's backstory (while celebrating the appearance of Karen) and Buck and Abby's burgeoning relationship (while being very blah about it). But hey, there's a lot of Hen and Bobby too, plus Athena thinks Bobby's a superhero in disguise?

Lizzie and Lyra rewatch Season 1, Episode 3 "Next of Kin" and discuss the welcome focus on Chimney, while they rejoice about the lack of Abby. They also go into Chimney's relationship with everyone else on the team—while agreeing to disagree on the Tatiana of it all. Plus, more Athena talk and some great points are made by both Chimney and Bobby.

Lizzie and Lyra rewatch Season 1, Episode 2 "Let Go" and discuss the changing dynamics from the "Pilot," as well as the focus on the same four core characters. They also go into Buck's backstory and have a lot of thoughts on that therapist storyline (hint: not good!), as well as rage against Michael (again!). And they might even have found some threads to pull from this episode that could be important for what's going on in the show now.

Lizzie and Lyra rewatch Season 1, Episode 1 "Pilot" and discuss the focus on four characters in particular: Abby, Buck, Bobby and Athena—and whether that works or not, as well as the little we learn from Hen and Chimney. They also rate the show's first episode in comparison with other procedural pilots and discuss a little bit of how these characters have grown. And oh yes, we were really glad to see Hot Priest!
