Working for Sun, and Apple, co-founding the Barbarian Group and other businesses, he now focuses on https://ncc.la/. He develops tools for creatives with a strong focus on music. He is also the first person we have spoken to who is developing mainly on the Algorand blockchain, and he explains why.
We dive into music NFTs, the reasons for building now more than ever, the democratization of access, royalties, and the need to pay attention to what big corporations don't want us to do and double down on it. We also discussed why its better for artists to not completely get rid of intermediaries, and why traditional artists should explore blockchain-based approaches.

In this episode we focus on NFT Smart Contracts, how they are made, what are the things people often don't know about their structure and their fragility.
Jake also touched on a critical aspect of NFTs, which is that we believe them to be valid "tokens" to validate ownership of artwork because of a social consensus, beyond just an unbreakable technical implementation.
We also discussed Javascript vs Solidity, ERC721 as a standard, and the potential demised of the term "NFT".

Sean has a long history working with blockchains, and Bitmark has been pushing new ways of interacting with them across multiple domains. We learned about Bitmark because of Feralfile.com, an NFT marketplace we find to be one of the most interesting of the current landscape.
We discuss different ways of representing blockchains, metaphors that might make the concept more understandable, and ways of thinking about them that shed more light on their importance for the present and the future.
