  • For this episode of The All-Around Adventure Podcast, I'm joined by podcaster, writer, and archaeologist, Lauren Coontz.

Lauren's tenure as an archaeologist began when she found her way to South America to attend field school. During which she analyzed artifacts and human remains that were recovered from the Peruvian Andes. She also served in the Army and received her SCUBA diving certification while she was stationed in South Korea. Following her enlistment in the Army, she and I ended up working at the same cultural resource management company for a time. Now she hosts her own podcast, titled The Nauti Archaeologist, where she talks about different shipwrecks around the world and their cultural and historical significance.

In this episode, Lauren tells us about her time in the Army and what led her to become an archaeologist. She also talks about some of the shipwrecks that she's studied for her podcast.
