The Yolo County District Attorney’s Office is dedicated to prosecuting perpetrators who sexually exploit and traffic women, men, and underage girls for financial gain, including pimps, panderers, and human traffickers. We sat down with the dedicated staff who prosecute these perpetrators, Deputy District Attorney Tiffany Susz and YCDA Investigator Jennifer Davis to discuss what Human Trafficking is and what the Yolo County District Attorney's Office is doing about it.

The Yolo County District Attorney's Office sits down with Al Reynoso from Yolo County Probation, Laura Valdes from YCDA Victim Services Program, Michael Works, a YCDA Administrative Analyst and YCDA Investigator John Sadlowski to discuss the recent sex offender sweep and compliance check. All Yolo County Law Enforcement Agencies helped out to check on every registered sex offender in Yolo County during the last week of November, 2016. We sit down to discuss the operation.

Our office sat down with Stephanie, a victim of domestic violence and torture, Silvia, her YCDA Victim Advocate, and Deanna, who prosecuted the defendant in Stephanie's case to talk about what our office does for victims of domestic violence as well as how we raise awareness regarding this heinous crime.

This is the 8th episode in our podcast series, The Chronicles of Justice. In this episode we go onsite to the Yolo Day Reporting Center where we interview Yolo County District Attorney's Victim Advocate Heather Blair regarding her work with the restorative justice process of offenders we have prosecuted. She teaches a Victim Awareness class with the hopes that offenders will not repeat their crimes. We also interview program participants, counselors and the program director. June is Pride Month. In this podcast we sat down to talk with Gloria Partida who is co-chair of the Davis Phoenix Coalition as well as a member of YCDA's Multi-Cultural Community Council, about her work on behalf of the LGBTQIA community. Additionally, Jonathan Raven & Julia Hernandez Hill spoke about hate crimes targeting them. Our goal is to encourage inclusion, acceptance and peace.

We sat down with Donald a victim of elder financial abuse, Heather Blair, his victim advocate with our office, Arnelle Sanford, a volunteer in our office who works with the senior population, and supervising Deputy District Attorney Ryan Couzens who specializes in these types of cases. In this podcast we discuss how this crime affects this vulnerable population and what the office is doing about it.
