1 Peter 3:15 tells us that we must sanctify the Lord God in our hearts and be ready to give a defense fro the hope that lies within us. Is God sanctified in my heart? Do I have a defense that will glorify Him. We'll talk about that in this Encouraging Words.

The world is content with putting labels on everyone. Labels in society are typically used to define individual people by their race, social status, and even their position at work. Unfortunately, labels are used all the time in the religious world. Danny and Kurt discuss the dangers of labeling people who are different, and how it can cause more harm than good.

In Judges 6:12 the Angel of the LORD appears to Gideon and says to him, "The LORD is with you, you mighty man of valor." Though the angel has told him the truth, Gideon has some real concerns about this bold statement. After all, he is hiding in a winepress to thresh wheat!

Matthew 5:13 begins by saying, "You are the salt of the earth!" In Luke's gospel Jesus will add something to that. "Salt is good; but if the salt has lost its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is neither fit for the land nor for the dunghill, but men throw it out."

Children are a heritage from the Lord! They are a gift from God and the fruit of the womb. What a blessed privilege to be entrusted with a human life and to be granted the loving relationship that can only be found in our children.

There are many places in the gospels where Jesus tells people to follow Him. We will look at a few of those places and see how people reacted to Him when the call went forth. We'll also look at the way people react to Him today, as the call continues to go out.

We've been hearing some people say that they are going "no contact" with friends and family that they don't agree with. They're just going to stay home for the holidays. This is a dangerous decision to make and it should be handled with love and deep concern for those who have been hurt.
