Happy birthday to my babyyyy, The Delusional Diaries had a birthday in July (yes, I'm hella late lmao #whoops) and of course, we had to celebrate!!! I talked about how this year has transformed me in general, my favorite entries so far on the podcast & my goals for Year 2 of TDD. Posting this in Aries season (hbd to my bestie) but Long Live Pisces Season!!! Welcome back to another entry of TDD :) I turned 24 on March 3 so it only felt right to do a recap on my birthday season & talk about what I've learned in 5 weeks and day of being a year older lmaooo. I was able to celebrate with my friends & family which is always a blessing and I always love being surrounded by the people who see me cause it always puts things into perspective. In all honesty, this birthday truly showed me how abundant I am in love & wisdom. Beyoncé is one of my favorite artists of all time so of course the first JJJ of 2023 had to be Renaissance because personally, I think it's her best album! I listened to the album in full and drank for my favorite songs (literally all of them except 2) and went through all of the awesome art from this album (the vinyl & box set!) DAAAAAAMNNNNN! (in my Lil Uzi voice lol) Welcome back to another entry of TDD!!! Ironically, we've made our way back to another personal entry and it just so happens to be the last one of the year! So naturally, I had to do a recap of my 2022: how it was for me, my highlights, the things I've learned, the energy I want to carry into the new year & some different hobbies I plan on picking up! Speaking from a place of growth, I learned a lot about myself this year and truly feel that 2023 will be transformative for me because of how I plan on applying the lessons this year gave me. Personally, it was one of the hardest of my life BUT I think that things needed to happen the way they did, so I could get to the place I'm at today: hopeful for my future & fully believing in myself <3 I'm ready for my life to change for the better & I'm wishing for all of us to have a new year filled with new opportunities, new experiences & new blessings!!! I love you all so much & want you to know that you can do ANYTHING you set your mind to: use me as an example LMAO this shy girl started a podcast at one of my lowest moments just to put my ideas into action and here we are 5 months later with something that helped me find myself and more likeminded people to share my delusional ass thoughts with like.... HIII!!!! Welcome back to another entry of TDD :) For todays JJJ, I decided to create/manifest my own festival and discuss who I'd NEED to see on the lineup. All in all, I think its so important to give Black women the grace that the WORLD seems to give everybody else because we deserve it too! Welcome back to another entry of TDD!!! There's so much going on in this one (in the best way!) It's our first entry in a new spot AND I HAD MY FIRST GUEST, my amazing mother who literally pulled up and dropped some amazing gems and insight on this entry's topic: being a hopeless romantic and what love looks like for everyone. To me, there's no one way to love someone but I will say there's a right way, depending on the person! I used to dull down the type of love I wanted just to be in a relationship with whoever, when in reality, the right person will love me the way I see fit for myself: boombox outside the window, love letters, throwing up every time you don't see me LMFAOOO like nothing too crazy ;) In all seriousness, I truly do love, love and I can't wait to fall in it! I'm no longer settling for the bare minimum when it comes to it and I'm standing on that. I definetely plan on revisiting this topic down the line cause I can really talk about love all day.
