In this video I have a chat with a long-time Twitter friend from Nepal, Sabina. Sabina is usually only active on twitter at @Sabina_91521, but today she stepped outside of her comfort zone to join me on a video call. We didn't have a particular agenda or topic list going in, but we ended up talking mostly about China, Nepal, India and their relationships.

In today's episode I sit down with Yale, a very good friend of mine who was in Beijing as a new graduate during the Tiananmen square protests and also joined the protests in Hong Kong much later. It is a rare treat to have someone who was in the ground for both of these evens.
We discuss both protests, the 89 Tiananmen Square Protests and the Hong Kong Protesters. We examine the differences between the two and speak about other China related topics.

Now that the same feeling of panic we experienced here in China is spreading the world, after seeing how differently it's playing out on the ground, I decided to make an episode commenting on some of the thing'g going on, including the lack of using masks and toilet paper rushes overseas. I also comment on the effectiveness of governments, transparency, and freedoms.

In today's episode I speak about finding the positives during a time when panic seems to be setting in surrounding the covid-19 coronavirus crisis. I bring you this episode from China where we've spent quite a bit more time under immense efforts and lockdowns to limit the spread of this virus, putting us in a unique position here to speak to people who may only be seeing these types of extreme efforts being deployed now, which in itself causes reality to really start sinking in. We will inevitably get through this, and I hope this episode encourages more people to not let a great opportunity for growth to go to waste and not forget to find the positives in even the most extreme of conditions.
