Prior to starting his consultancy (Promethean Global Consulting Group), Mr. Sligh served as a Biden-Harris political appointee as the Director of the Bureau of Safety & Environmental Enforcement, leading its offshore wind market businesses. Previously, he served in numerous career roles as the Deputy Regional Administrator for FEMA Region 5 and, subsequently, as Deputy of the Coast Guardâs Office of Marine Environmental Response at Coast Guard Headquarters. He also served as the Director for Response policy in 2017 for the White House National Security Council. His responsibilities included shaping the nationâs response and recovery efforts to Hurricanes HARVEY, IRMA, and MARIA by leading the Executive Office of the Presidentâs headquarters-level response. During his 2-year assignment as the FEMA Region 5 Acting Regional Administrator, he was instrumental in providing over 6 billion dollars in Stafford Act funding to disaster survivors. In addition, he has also deployed multiple times to Hurricanes KATRINA, RITA, and GUSTAV in various senior leadership roles.
Last, he served 13 years between the U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard within the enlisted corps. During his last 10 years on active duty, he served as a commissioned officer, where he deployed multiple times in support of the Coast Guardâs response to the DEEPWATER HORIZON tragedy in 2010. At the height of the response, he led over 40,000 responders.

Major General (RET.) Christopher P Hughes is a result-driven Consultant and Executive Coach with expertise in strategic planning, innovation, leadership, and operational and organizational design. Chris has spent the last five years helping C-Suit executives improve and train their junior leaders in the business and federal domains.
Christopher Hughes brings 35 years of leadership experience in the U.S Army, from platoon leader to Commanding General.
Over the course of his career, Chris served as the Executive Officer for the Secretary of the Army, the Army Senior Liaison to the U.S. House of Representatives, and he commanded an Infantry Battalion from the 101st Airborne Division during the invasion of Iraq in 2003. Chris is the author of the book âWar on Two Frontsâ that recounts his experiences in Iraq and the Pentagon. He assisted in the creation of five major organizations within the Department of Defense and served as an investigator on the USS Cole Commission in 2000.
After retiring from military service, Chris became the President and CEO of Northwest Consulting, LLC. He's also the author of 'War on Two Fronts: an Infantry Commander's War in Iraq and the Pentagon'. Of which he was awarded the Army Historical Foundation's Distinguished Writing Award for Excellence in U.S. Army History Writing in 2008.

Tony is a founding member of the SHRM Executive Network, currently serves as President-Elect on the board of the District of Columbia Chapter of SHRM, and is an official member of the Forbes Human Resource Council and the HR Leadership Forum.
In his spare time, Tony is an active member of the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists and enjoys volunteering, traveling, and spending time with his family.
