Like our school years the podcast season is wrapping up so we thought it would be a great opportunity to talk about what we are actually doing to wrap up a school year.
Nick and Matt are joined by Tom Hobbins, the AD at the International School of Hamburg and answer questions about how they close out your school year…
What do you try to get done before leaving, what can wait?
Do you stay after the last day of school?
Adding to the episode are examples and ideas from others ADs who messaged Nick before hand. Thanks to Ric, Anthony, Kelly, Todd, Ella, Mott and Craig.
Tom also shares his favorite things about Hamburg before Nick and Matt look to the summer and what next school year has in store for them.
Thank you again to our podcast sponsor and friends Kukri Sports for all of their support.

When you go overseas things are not always like they were back home and sometimes those differences are both surprising and hard to overcome.
In this episode we welcome Christof Wegiel (Danube Int. School) and Dave Horner (his 14th episode) to talk about 'athletic culture shock'. The guys share things that stood out to them when they first went overseas, how they overcame them and also some funny examples.
The top realizations were; the local competition, athletic ability of athletes, frequent moving of families and the amount of practices. The basic tip to people coming overseas for the first time is to lower your expectations but be ready to make a lasting impact.
