Early Life and Childhood
Jamie Foxx, born Eric Marlon Bishop on December 13, 1967, in Terrell, Texas, was destined for greatness from the very beginning. The second of two children born to Louise Annette Talley Dixon and Darrell Bishop, Jamie's life was shaped by the absence of his parents. His mother, Louise, was a homemaker and nursery operator, while his father, Darrell, worked as a stockbroker.
