It's time for us to now bow out of what has been an incredible three years. In this final episode, we recorded a Cardiff special. On our bikes, we cycled between 6 of the city's finest pubs, each with their own segment:
Day at your Dream Festival Bain's Gizz Quiz Cal's Finish The Lyric Al's £1m Music Makeover The L.E.S. Top 10 Final PlaylistWith 3 seasons under our belt, a beer sponsorship from Tiny Rebel and a whole load of talented musician friends made, we can only say that as 3 music loving mates who started a little project over a couple of cans, to see what it has since become feels like an overwhelming success. Too much is said about music not being what it was, blah blah blah, but what we're most proud of is making content that goes some way towards proving that the artists who make up our current scene are the some of BEST to ever do it and it was an absolute blast for us to shine a little bit more light on them. There's too many highlights to list, so BIG thankyou to everyone who ever came on whether it was podcast, insta or even helping us spin some tunes when we were live on radio.
Al and Cal will be continuing the content on the instagram page over the summer. We've always attended festivals as punters, but this year we'll be attending some as press 🎤 So keep your eyes tuned to The L.E.S. insta as there will be a whole load of visual content with even more artists coming!
For the last time, sit down and soak it up. Thankyou everybody! -

This week Angel Hotel, the Cardiff 4-piece inspired by retro nostalgia, 80s flicks and 'big power pop hooks' drop by to chat to the boys. Sion and Carys bring complete authenticity to Tiny Rebel in this episode and proudly fly the flag for musicians who unashamedly pursue their own sounds. In the Deep Dive this week they break down their latest single 'Rumpy Pumpy'.
In keeping with their sound, the playlist for this episode is a tour-de-force of 80's hits... On their part anyway.

The boys may have missed frontman Dave for this one but they still bring some cool insights into the song's sonic conception. I Don't Feel is a true modern britpop banger and if this earmarks the future sound of Saloon Dion, we are incredibly excited.

In terms of solo artists in the U.K. scene, they don't get as exciting as Alice Low. 14 minute debut singles and genre defying soundscapes have created an artist truly unique and with the ability to stop you in your tracks and make you listen. That's what her songs have done since her launch and now it's time to do that in the pod. We met up with Alice at Tiny Rebel in Cardiff to learn more about her development as an artist, from supporting Cate Le Bon, to performing with a new band and self recording tonnes of albums. And on this week's deep dive, we do our best to sound qualified by taking a deep breath in and taking on the mammoth and wonderful single 'Ladydaddy'.
This week's playlist will be an education for you all... and us. Sorry we didn't know them all Alice.
