December by Collective Soul is what kicks off todays chat fest. Even if you don't think you recognize the name of the song, you know the song itself. Give it a spin.
The guys go back, way back. Lots of reflection on childhood and its inherent difficulties. Parents just don't understand. Amirite?
All jokes aside, it's a great convo. We get raw. Interesting stuff. Not many guys out there laying it all out in the open like this these days. Maybe this shouldn't be such an outlier?
Thanks for hitting play, drop us a line and don't forget our Redbubble Merch Store. Bunch of fun, music related designs.
**side note: I mark our episodes as "explicit" because I love a good F-bomb. We don't get filthy. Just sayin'**

AJ discovered a new band this year and so brings Nevermine to the table by Cultus Black. We take all the tangents and get deep about our own personal journeys. Take a listen and leave a note! Also I lied in the intro. This is episode 14. Duh, I'll go sit in the corner and think about what I've done.

Little girls, listen closely
'Cause no one told me
But you deserve to know
That in this world, you are not beholden
You do not owe them
Your body and your soulAll the youth in the world will not save you from growing older
And all the truth in the girl is too precious to be stolen from herIt's just the way it is
Maybe it's never gonna change
But I got a mind to show my strength
And I got a right to speak my mind
And I'm gonna pay for this
They're gonna burn me at the stake
But I got a fire in my veins
I wasn't made to fall in line
No, I wasn't made to fall in line, noShow some skin, make him want you
'Cause God forbid you
Know your own way home
And ask yourself why it matters
Who it flatters
You're more than flesh and bonesAll the youth in the world will not save you from growing older
And all the truth in the girl is too precious to be stolen from herIt's just the way it is
And maybe it's never gonna change
But I got a mind to show my strength
And I got a right to speak my mind
And I'm gonna pay for this
They're gonna burn me at the stake
But I got a fire in my veins
I wasn't made to fall in line
No, no, I wasn't made to fall in line
No, we aren't made to fall in line, ohTwo, three
Right, two, three
Shut your mouth
Stick your ass out for me (oh)
March, two, three

Who told you you're allowed to think? (yeah)One, two, three
Right, two, three
Shut your mouth (oh)
Stick your ass out for me
March, two, three
One, two, three
Who told you you're allowed to think? It's just the way it is
Maybe it's never gonna change
But I got a mind to show my strength
And I got a right to speak my mind
And I'm gonna pay for this
They're gonna burn me at the stake
But I got a fire in my veins
I wasn't made to fall in line
I wasn't made to leave my fate
I'm never gonna fall in line, ohOne, two, three
Right, two, three
Shut your mouth
Stick your ass out for me
March, two, three
One, two, three
Who told you you're allowed to think?Yeah, two, three
Right, two, three
Shut your mouth
Stick your ass out for me

Welcome to the show! Today we're talking about the song Castles by Tom MacDonald, released in 2018. This song is a powerful and relatable anthem about the struggles of everyday people. The song's lyrics are raw and honest, and they speak to the pain and frustration that many people feel. But the song also has a message of hope, and it reminds us that we are not alone in our struggles. We can overcome anything if we have hope and if we work together.
In this episode, we'll discuss the lyrics, the meaning of the song, and why it's so important. We'll also hear from some listeners about how the song has impacted them. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the show!
**APOLOGIES!** Seems we had a ghost in the machine. There are chunks of audio that simply didn't record for some reason. Decided to release as-is instead of ditching what we did get. Still worth your time we think, please do hit play!**

On May 15, 2012 Lisa Marie Presley released her third studio album "Storm and Grace". It was a deeply personal album. Dealing with her split from Scientology on "You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet" she labels her self a suppressive in an astonishing act of defiance of the organization. "Sticks and Stones" sees Presley grappling with identity. It's a powerful and moving anthem about self-acceptance and self-worth.
From Wikipedia:"On her first two albums, Lisa Marie Presley wanted to be a pop star with a difference; on Storm & Grace, she clearly would rather be an artist, and if she's still working her musical shortcomings out of her system, this is a stronger, more mature, and more effective work than one might have expected. Nearly ten years into a recording career she may or may not have wanted, Presley is finally developing a musical personality that truly suits her," Allmusic said, complimenting of Presley's work on the album.
