Email the podcast: [email protected] Welcome to the Tao Te Ching for Everyday Living. I’m your host, Dan Casas-Murray. This podcast is for the Tao Curious, those looking for a random bit of wisdom once in awhile, or for those who want to dive into this wonderful teaching.I’ve been studying the Tao Te Ching for just short of a year now, and have reconnected with a natural feeling of inner peace and contentment. I don’t hold a doctorate, nor am I qualified to teach anything about the Tao Te Ching - I’m just an ordinary person who has experienced the wonderful side effects of following the Tao. Since everyone’s experience with this wisdom is different, the only thing that I can hope for is that mine helps you to connect with the Tao in your own, unique, personal way. Feel free to listen to each episode a day at a time or any time you need a quick “Tao-shot.” You can listen while on your way to work or after that, when you’re winding down. It’s always a good time to observe the Tao.In each episode, we’ll do four things:1. We’ll read a verse of the Tao Te Ching2. Break it down into everyday language3. I’ll share my own thoughts and experience4. Apply the Verse with a couple of the many ways you can put the Tao into practice for yourself. That’s pretty much how I’ve been practicing the Tao every day - by listening to Lao Tzu, reflecting on his words of wisdom, listening to other comments, and trying to practice them in everyday life.

Wisdom is internal, embodied by persons. Words of wisdom arise from it. Wise behavior arises from it. But wisdom is not its products. Wisdom is a mode of cognition, a higher-order way of knowing --- one rooted in perspectives, interpretations, and values. Wisdom is a kind of meta-knowledge that helps us make better sense of the rest of our knowledge.
At every moment we face some real-life situation, some fact-based reality. But what do those facts mean? And what’s the best thing to do about them? Wisdom answers the meaning question by looking at the situation from a variety of helpful perspectives. It answers the action question by bringing wise values into the decision-making process.
Since 1995, THE WISDOM PAGE now at WWW.WISDOMPAGE.COM, has made wisdom-related resources available to the Internet community: information about the nature of wisdom and how it can be developed, various on-line texts concerning wisdom, references to books about wisdom, information about organizations that promote wisdom, wise activities, listserv groups concerned with aspects of wisdom, and streaming audio and video presentations related to wisdom. (Visited each month by people from more than 80 countries, THE WISDOM PAGE is one of the Web’s premier sources of information about wisdom. In a search for the word "wisdom," Google returns more than 100 million pages. THE WISDOM PAGE is consistently among the first 10 of these, on the first page of the Google search returns.)
Hosted by iTunes as well as The Wisdom Page itself, THE WISDOM PAGE PODCAST is the latest effort to serve the informational needs of wisdom-interested people worldwide. Individual podcast episodes by WISDOM PAGE founder Copthorne (Cop) Macdonald and others focus on issues related to the development of personal wisdom and the introduction of wise values into societal institutions. All audio episodes are in 32 kbps MP3 format that works well with either a hi-speed or a good quality 56K dialup connection. The MT—or Multiple Theory—podcast is a project by the University of Toronto Jungian Association (formerly the Jungian Society). Here, we hold conversations with artists, philosophers, scientists, and practitioners from a variety of backgrounds. Our aim is to create a dialogue between spaces that don’t often get to converse, drawing connections between the passions of our guests and some of the concerns of Jungian or Post-Jungian theory. We want to know what we share and what sets us apart, what our goals are and how we can begin to talk and work together. We hope you’ll join us on this adventure.

Conversations about dream recall and the meaning of dreams...To dream is a physical, emotional, and spiritual activity. Whether we remember our dreams or not, we have many dreams during our sleeping hours. Then we daydream about how our perfect life would be like, the dream life, amazing adventures, and what we wish for our loved ones…and not so loved others. Sometimes the dreams are about satisfying basic needs…and more often than we care to admit, dreams turn into nightmares. Whichever the case, we are fascinated by the dream state. Every culture on the planet gives dreams a place of importance in both science and spirituality. From the ancient Sumerians to Joseph and the Pharaoh, to the dream interpretation books in Traditional Chinese Medicine, the evil associated to dreamtime during the dark ages, and more recent times (200 years is still recent) dream interpretation as part of psychoanalysis.Today, we continue to navigate all the possibilities when it comes to dreams. What do they mean? What is the meaning of the symbols? The figures? The places? The people?Prophetic, memory encoding, day residue, or a deliberate activity in the astral plane…What do you think? Tune in and join us in our conversations at The Dreams Portal Podcast.Sweet dreams!Join the conversation! Sign up for our mailing list:https://unique-creator-836.ck.page/b962c9a324

Ishavasyopanishad (or Isha Upanishad) is one of the ten principal upanishads which present the essence and culmination of all knowledge found within India's most ancient and sacred texts; the vedas. It focuses on the oneness of all creation, the illusion of multiplicity, and the need to carry out one's duties in the world with detachment. It contains just 18 verses.
It is believed that listening to the upanishads is the first step towards discovering our unique spiritual path to liberation. In 2020, Sri Madhusudan Sai gave a series of talks over the course of a month, which methodically and thoroughly explained the significance of the Ishavasyopanishad and its relevance to us in our lives. This podcast series is compiled from those talks. -

Honest. Human. Deep.
Conversations about life and its joys and struggles. We Get to Live covers a broad range of topics we all face on a daily basis. We go down to the basics of the human experience in the hope of unearthing some wisdom to inspire and enrich us.
Inspired by the book of the same name, its author Anubhav Kandpal (Anu) converses with himself and other humans about the process of living. Part philosophy, part spirituality and part therapy this podcast will get you thinking differently.
"We Get to Live covers a broad range of themes, and I appreciated the way that the author uses his personal experiences to explain the significance of the ideas he discusses, making it feel relatable rather than purely abstract. This is clearly the product of hard thinking." — Dr. Shashi Tharoor
