So we come to the end of the book of Genesis. It is important to remember that Genesis does not just tell the beginning of creation, Genesis tells of the beginning of the Jewish people. The author of course is building up a story filled with sex, drugs and rock and roll all in the telling of the birth of a nation. Of course a great many Christians use the book of Genesis and interpret the text to fit the Christian narrative. It is a fun and interesting look into the culture of early humanity and what was going through their minds.

Joseph the communist. No, not Joseph Stalin, Joseph son of Jacob. Joseph was given control of all of Egypt. During the good times he collected form the people their crops without fee. Joseph then sold the grain he took back to the people who worked for it. After the people ran out of money they sold their livestock, after the livestock they sold their lands and their selves into servitude. The Pharaoh then had become the owner of all the wealth and the people were now slaves. Sounds like capitalism that Christians often say is of God. So then this leaves open how the people of Israel became slaves in Egypt by the plot of their own brother and leader Joseph. What is freedom of speech in America? "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances." It would seem that we do have a problem. Facebook and any other corporations are not the Government. That being said they produce the most speech in America between Americans. The internet has put a new and challenging spin on what freedom of speech can be applied. Do we need to regulate the corporations who do business in the nature of speech to be held to the same standards as the government? The news is protected why is not the social media platforms held to the standard and protection of publishers who have the right to publish anything under the 1st amendment freedoms.? Yes speech can hurt and incite negative actions that up to the highest crimes has been associated with a person speech. So in some aspects speech should be regulated for the greater good of humanity. What then if a tyrannical government does take over? We do see that Trump in his reenactment of the act protecting government property with a 10 year minimum was also not a violation of free speech? The Evangelical church is a serious problem and threat to democracy. A complete overhaul is needed within this branch of Christianity. In fact it is not even Christian. The doctrines and dogma of Evangelicals are not in line with the biblical text and provide serious hurt and as we have seen civil unrest within its ranks. We are facing a critical time in which this brand of Christianity must be eliminated and or dramatically transformed. Christianity has not been the faith of Jesus since the sell out to Rome. Since Roman Christianity there has only been restriction of the people and a desire to conquer the world in the name of Christ killing untold millions. If it was BLM then we would have had layers of heavily armed military personnel at the ready as they did in the past. We may or may not get past this as Trump's supporters remain undeterred and ready to defend Trump even after the 20th. We are in for dark times as a country unless we can unify around something. Trump supporters seem to live in imaginary dream land that makes them feel better about their lives. It as if these Qanon are living their life through a action novel.
