It was an Elimination Chamber event for the ages!

The women’s edition of the event started off with a wicked Jade Cargill heel run. Her attack on Naomi was sold BEAUTIFULLY by Bianca Belair, who eventually won the match and will wrestle for the World Title at Mania.

Trishy Time was a fun way to keep the Canadians happy (necessary after they booed the national anthem).

With how badly Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn beat each other, we have to wonder if this was just the first of two brawls between the two former besties– with the next one to come at WrestleMania.

And the highlight of the night was the men’s elimination chamber. With tons of rivalries playing out and all won by the beloved John Cena… put a pin in that.

Main Event: John Cena turns heel

After a brief stare down between Cena and Cody, The Rock came out to the ring to collect on his demand for the champion's soul. When Cody dropped an F Bomb to refuse, that would lead to one of WWE's biggest taboos: John Cena turning heel, kicking Cody right in the balls, smacking him bloody with the belt and aligning with the Final Boss… and Travis Scott.

    Happy Elimination Chamber day!

The team picks their favorite choices for winners on the big day as the WrestleMania card finally comes into focus.

But there are actually a number of people that won’t be involved in Saturday’s show who really impressed us: R-Truth! Carmello Hayes! Louisiana Knight!

But lest we forget that Seth Rollins is still a great talker and managed to insert himself into Cody Rhodes’ business (more on that in just a minute).

Main Event: Rocky wants your soul

Since the Rock returned to WWE last year his biggest rival has been Cody Rhodes. And this week he finally returned to that story with a simple request for the WWE Champion.

The field for Elimination Chamber is officially set– and while everyone involved in both of the titular matches on both the men’s and the women’s sides is sure to put on a performance, we’re torn on who we’d like to see win.

And two of the people who we think would have been great in the chamber will be tied up: Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn will have their latest match – an unsanctioned match– at the upcoming PLE.

Plus we’ll dread the possibility of the end of Tiffy Time with Charlotte o’clock on the way.

Main Event: Triple H’s booking so far

We are now just over a year into the Triple H-era. Paul Levesque took over for creative duties full time after Vince McMahon was ousted once and for all. So we're taking a look back at the highs and lows of Triple H's booking.

A number of wrestlers have been released from their former places of employment. AEW’s Miro, Ricky Starks and Malachi Black are gone; WWE’s Sonya Deville, Authors of Pain, Paul Ellerig, Cedric Alexander, and Isla Dawn are gone.

And while we know that Ricky Starks is NXT bound as of this past Tuesday, where does everyone else fit into the landscape?

Plus, it’s official: Jey Uso will face Gunther for the World Heavyweight Champion! Will this be his true solo ascension?

And speaking of titles, we’ve got thoughts on where the men’s and women’s Intercontinental champions should go from here.

The road to WrestleMania is here!

Main Event: The 1999 Royal Rumble

In 1999 WWE was just beginning to achieve new heights in the attitude era. And that was fully on display with a Royal Rumble that showcased the best and worst that WWE had to offer at the time.

  • The Royal Rumble weekend is in the books!

Jey Uso and Charlotte Flair stood tall above the rest and will have respective title matches at WrestleMania.

Who’s ready to see Jey Uso with a world championship? How can WWE thread the needle to keep one of their most popular stars in the good graces of fans?

And while it’s nice to see Charlotte return from injury, the crowd has already begun to boo her as of her first RAW back. What can be done to get her back on track?

Plus we’ll get into the title matches from the show, try to divine where John Cena, CM Punk, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins fit into WrestleMania and so much more.

    Happy Royal Rumble weekend!

We’ve got to make some obligatory predictions for the official start to the road to WrestleMania.

Then we welcome former WWE Champion Ettore “Big E” Ewen. It’s been some time since we’ve seen him in a wrestling ring. But he’s stayed extremely busy: You can catch him on the Peacock series “Laid” and on Netflix’s “WWE RAW Classics.”

He’ll tell us about what it’s been like transitioning from wrestling to acting, where he plans to pour his creative energy and why mental health advocacy is so important to him.

  • Time is running out to get our Philly themed Ice Cream Christmas logo! Go get it now at Maxfunstore.com.

Hal, Danielle and Lindsey sit at the precipice of back-to-back weekends with big shows from WWE.

There’s titles on the line with Jey Uso vs. Gunther for World Championship, Sheamus vs. Bron Breakker for the Intercontinental Title and Rhea Ripley vs. Nia Jax for the women’s World title. But while the team has strong opinions about who will win, there are also a lot of questions about the overall direction of the stars.

Plus: it’s another reminder that we’re due for another muppets x WWE crossover.

    The Main Event

It's back to back weekends of Saturday shows, so let's pre-game the one that happens on the day this episode drops: the second modern edition of Saturday Nights' Main Event. But we face an important question: In a world with more WWE shows than ever, how long until the novelty of Saturday night's main event wears off?

There are only a few weeks left in the year, but WWE couldn’t resist getting one last hit in: Saturday Night’s Main Event!

The team breaks down some of the biggest matches from the show, including a pair of really strong World championships and the coronation of the first ever women’s United States Champion.

Plus, thank you Cody Rhodes for reminding the world how good that winged eagle belt looks.

2024 was a big year for wrestling. Just look at the emotional moments: Cody Rhodes at last finished the story and ended Roman Reigns’ historic title reign; Drew McIntyre had a blood feud for the ages; Toni Storm took the women’s division in AEW to a new level.

Plus we had Bobby Lashley and MVP establishing the Hurt Syndicate; Rhea Ripley taking her rightful place as a top babyface and somehow the Bloodline remains compelling after four years of story.

In the first of two 2024/2025 episodes we breakdown some highlights!

  • Let us give thanks for a brand new episode of Tights and Fights!

There’s so much to give thanks for after a busy 2024: Magalomaniacs were removed from WWE; stories were effectively told after unfortunate accidents; and tons of stars truly came into their own.

But before we get to all that… who brought the best food for everyone to enjoy at the table this week?

  • Step into the Gobbeldy-verse on a brand new bonus Tights and Fights!

The Gobbeldy Gooker was one of the worst things Vince McMahon ever conceived.

It was famed wrestler Hector Guerrero in a turkey costume that hatched from an egg at Survivor Series 1990 after months of build up.

It was maintained as a sort of inside joke for WWE fans for years. But now that we’re in the post-Vince era, it seems to be put to rest. Hopefully.

  • Producer Julian Burrell has collected three of the best segments from the show’s archives for your enjoyment.

    Misandry Corner

Danielle Radford leads the team to discuss some of the sexist history of wrestling’s past. In this inaugural edition of the segment, the spotlight is on WWE’s most sordid Diva’s moments: a water balloon wet T-Shirt contest. How terrible was this? And which men would we like to see recast in it?

    My Special Wrestler

Comic Creator Box Brown joins the program to discuss one of the greatest heels of all time: Ravishing Rick Rude.

    Ring Tones

Comedian Hannibal Buress joins the program to discuss the music of Triple H. This will include every phase of his career from his time as Hunter Hearst Healmsley to his joining DX to becoming the cerebral assassin to his modern day role as the WWE’s chief executive of talent relations.
