The 30th of September this year marks the 10th anniversary of Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy Awareness Day, and I could think of no one better to join me for this episode than Kelly Brazzo, the CEO and founder of the Cure LGMD2i Foundation - Unbalanced's brand new sponsor!!
Kelly shares the LGMD diagnosis story of her daughter Sammy, and how the Foundation has grown to what it is now; researching for a cure and giving hope to patients and their families.

I honestly feel a new lease of life after my conversation with Sam today. As a young adult also with a degenerative condition but that affects the nerves, Sam has a lot on his plate. But his choice to stay focused on the good things in life and keeping a positive mentality is something I definitely needed to hear for myself, whilst also having a good laugh. I hope you enjoy our candid chat on breaking hidden disability stereotypes and embracing life as much as we can :)

Today I got to know Laura, a Coeliac from Cambridge who has started the (super cool) brand 'Coeliac Sisters'. We compare diagnosis stories, funny incidents and enjoy the fact that someone can finally relate to the seriousness that is gluten!
