This episode is about the horrendous kidnapping case of three girls in Cleveland Ohio, approximately one year apart, taken on the same street, by Ariel Castro. Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus, and Michelle Knight were held in his house in Cleveland, secured by chains a lot of the time. The three girls were routinely violently abused and neglected, until one day in 2013, when Amanda Berry breaks out of the house and escapes with a small child. 911 is called and the rest is history. The shocking case of Ariel Castro’s atrocious crimes, in what was termed the “House of Horrors”, in the media, ended with his suicide later that same year.

In 1983, Diane drove her three small children down a back country road in Oregon, and then shot them repeatedly on the side of the road, in the car, before driving them to the hospital and claiming a ‘bushy haired’ stranger in the road had done it. This incredible, horrible case became infamous in the 80s and 90s. Who would believe a mother could do such a thing? Would a jury? That would remain to be seen.

This episode is about Canadian serial killers, husband and wife, Paul Bernardo and Karla Homolka. Together, they abducted, raped and killed at least 3 young girls…..including Karla’s own little sister. They were nicknamed the “Ken and Barbie” killers in the media. The crimes were all recorded by the couple on videotapes and when the “tapes” were finally found, they showed how involved Karla was in the crimes….AFTER she had made the deal of a lifetime that allowed her to walk free a few years later.

These 4 young people were found stabbed to death in 2022, in their beds, at their home near the university…….in a shocking, confusing and horrifying crime that shook the entire university district. Indeed, the entire state of Idaho…..and the world.
