JK22 voices himself in a transparent and true way— he is no stranger to past destructive decisions and encourages dynamic changes in mentality concerning togetherness, legacy, and authentic self-expression.
Originally from Jackson, Michigan, and always on the road, he makes his inspiring mark across major metro areas and rural communities alike. This unique purpose and the relationships he builds along the way influence his alternative music that blends genres like jazz, country, rock and hiphop.
When he is not making music, JK22 is making music videos for his own projects and for others in his network.
As a creative, new perspectives are very important to him, and in 2021 he began collaborating with a Detroit local artist, Luchy Val. In 2023 they welcomed a third artist, LeNoira from Brooklyn, NY, to record with them,soon after solidifying a group called MadFocused.
It's all in the name— they Boast a prolific output and focused work ethic.
Together they've released 1 project thus far and are currently completing another, combining their innovative & experimental expressive styles.
In the near future they hope to reach and inspire more fans with their music, tour and perform for diverse audiences, and encourage the creative community with their stories. -

“Racism in the Beauty Industry: Graduate of Paul Mitchell School Accused of Racial Abuse and Bullying Against Black Women and Their Hair”
Los Angeles, CA — We, the undersigned, are deeply disturbed by the allegations of racial abuse and bullying leveled against ZURI Rosales, also known as Charms and Crowns, a graduate of the Paul Mitchell School in Los Angeles.
According to a former classmate and several students, ZURI Rosales has a pattern of disrespect, bullying, and racial profiling, particularly against black women and their hair.
The accusations against ZURI Rosales are serious and deeply troubling. Police reports and cease-and-desist letters, along with pictures as proof, have been distributed to this press release. The allegations suggest that ZURI Rosales has been stalking and trying to create racial tension “Racism in the Beauty Industry: Graduate of Paul Mitchell School Accused of Racial Abuse and Bullying Against Black Women and Their Hair”
between Hispanics and black women at Paul Mitchell.
The student who came forward to report ZURI Rosales’ behavior against a military veteran that runs a community organization that helps black women with Alopecia regain their self-love. It is deeply concerning that someone like ZURI Rosales, who allegedly calls herself a “texture specialist,” would engage in this kind of behavior. While ZURI Rosales may date a black man and hang out with black people, it is alleged that she is absolutely 100% racist, according to the students in the press release.
We call on ZURI Rosales to take responsibility for her actions and apologize to those she has harmed. We also urge the management of CNS SALON on 215 West 6th St in Los Angeles, where ZURI Rosales works, to investigate these allegations and take appropriate action. We believe that racism has no place in our society, and we must all work together to combat it whenever and wherever it occurs.
If they CNS keeps Zuri, we urge ALL BLACK Women to Stay Clear of this Culture RACIST Vulture!
We stand in solidarity with the black women who have been subjected to ZURI Rosales’ alleged abuse and bullying, and we call on all members of the beauty industry to join us in rejecting racism in all its forms.

An IHeart radio station owner had the displeasure of interacting with Judy Rojas a Classroom leader, and instructor. Judith Rojas is of Mexican decent, She runs the classroom floor for the Paul Mitchell school.
The station owner asked why she could not have a black woman do her hair? She was told it’s “Racist” by a Mexican woman.
Complaints have come in from at least five different black women, stating that they were specifically told by Judith Rojas, that if a black woman calls Paul Mitchell, asking for hair services by another black woman to reject those services as well as block the woman from being able to make any future appointments at Paul Mitchell Pasadena In the future.
The IHeart owner told the Paul Mitchell staff. “It’s a sad day In America when a woman from a complete different diaspora and country can BAN BLACK women from making a HAIR APPOINTMENT with a woman that can RELATE to her circumstance”!
There are LAWS that have been made to protect BLACK WOMEN HAIR from discriminatory practices that Judy Rojas Promotes!!

When the students would ask Peggy Lee for the results of any investigations or any proof of an investigation, or any follow-up emails to the investigation, it falls on deaf ears, according to the students.
The students also alleged that Peggy Lee never has followed up on any emails or any conversations whatsoever in regards to the allegations, but the students found themselves being retaliated against as in a result of the complaints.

A former student of Paul Mitchell Pasadena has come forward with serious allegations of sexual harassment and racial discrimination against Peggy Cao, Jayson Fernandez, and Mike Burt. The student has filed police reports and cease-and-desist letters alleging that these individuals have engaged in racially discriminatory and harassing and sexual, emotional, physical, and stalking behaviour.
Mike Burke, a teacher from Florida who also goes by the name Michael Burt, has been named in these allegations. Peggy Cao is personal friends with Mike Burt, and multiple women have accused him of being racist and abusive.
Despite being black, Jayson Fernandez has also been accused of being lazy and dropping the ball. and conspiring against students. In addition, Peggy Cao has been accused of violating Title IX by suspending the student immediately after she reported Mike for sexual and emotional harassment. This suspension was illegal.
