  • Join me for a short guided breathwork practice to activate your body's relaxation response. This simple technique is called the cyclic sigh, or the physiological sigh.

It has been shown to be an effective method for reducing stress and enhancing mood.

I acknowledge that breathwork has its roots in ancient traditions including yoga, and I pay respect to those who have practiced and taught these techniques long before modern science turned its attention to the power of the breath.

For information on the study done on this technique, visit:

  • Following the previous episode on stickability, today we're fleshing it out a little more. I'm sharing more of the keys to developing grit and perseverance within yourself.

Stickability isn't generally required when something is easy. And yet somehow we can be shocked when the going gets tough. It can be enough to make us just give up.

Considering the cost in advance and embracing the challenge are some of the steps for being willing and able to hang in there when you meet some inevitable resistance. Listen in for more steps and tips to get super-stickable.

  • Today we're looking at a business owner's superpower: stickability. It's the willingness and ability to hang in there, try again, and find a way. When you're starting (or sustaining) a business, you wear lots of different hats, and inevitably you'll have to do things that are hard or outside your expertise. When there's noone to handball the task to, you just have to work it out. And that's where stickability comes into play.

In this episode I'm sharing the two key ingredients for stickability, and how you can develop this in yourself. It'll serve you well in business and life in general.

  • I started the year feeling tired and unmotivated. My old habit would have been to push myself to 'start the year strong', but 10 years of cyclical living has taught me to lean into the waning when it happens.

In the first fresh episode for 2025, let's chat about finding your own rhythm for the year ahead. There are infinte opportunities to start again, and you get to choose when is right for you.

We'll take some inspiration from the story of Hanuman from the ancient Indian epic, The Ramayana. Knowing he had a massive task ahead of him, he paused and drew on his own strengths and those around him, before jumping (literally) into it.

  • Calling all perfectionists, and those who are perfectionists but don't even realise! So everone, really. Perfectionism is rife in our culture, with a particular potency and flavour among women. And somtimes it's just below the surface, holding us back in ways we're not even aware of. Today's episode poses the question, 'when did you promise perfect, and who did you promise it to?' We look at signs you might be unconsciously 'promising perfect' to yourself or others, why this is really unhelpful, and what we can do as an alternative.

  • Throwing back to one of the most popular episodes of Yes You and an important reminder for any time, but especially this time of year.

In Australia, it’s summer time, and we’re approaching Christmas. And so we need to be on high alert when it comes to two things: bush fire danger and B-S messaging that tries to convince us our bodies need changing! In this episode we’re talking about the latter.

I share about how the Great Summer Body Lie has managed to thrive, and how we can choose to cultivate an alternative narrative for ourselves.

  • Today we're talking about taking your MEDS. I don't mean medication (though that may be helpful too!) In this instance, I'm referring to Mindfulness, Exercise, Diet and Sleep. Sometimes we can go imagine there's some secret to feeling amazing, if only we could discover what it is! And meanwhile, we could be skipping past these foundational elements of health and wellbeing.

They may not be sexy, but they can make a massive difference to how you feel.

  • Anyone who lives in Naarm / Melbourne will know the long-standing bustling Preston market. Sue Sheehan and her partner Haydn opened their organic shop in a forklift bay in the market almost 25 years ago.

In today's episode, I chat with Sue about turning a passion for organic produce into a business, uneasiness with capitalism, expanding out of necessity, and where the shop name, 'Rhubarb Rhubarb' comes from.

Sue is honest, humble and philosophical. She puts the success of the business down to some hard work, some good decisions, some privilege and some luck.

  • It's always the best to think postiive, right? Not necessarily so. In this episode we're looking at prospective hindsight, and how imagining something has already gone wrong can provide some powerful insights to help us get the most out of a project or experience. This is not just about ruminating or worrying about things outside our control. I'm sharing the 'premortem' exercise. More effective than a SWOT analysis, this method is better at predicting the reasons something might fail, and empowering you with information you can use to take positive preventative action. You can use this in business of course, but really you could apply it in any area of your life - I'm thinking relationships, holidays, investments, and other big plans or projects. Have a listen and give it a go.

  • I'm chatting with remarkable human, Integrative Sexologist, and my dear friend, Vanessa Muradian.

Vanessa thinks and feels wide and deep and we cover a bit in this episode, from experiencing grief during the ovulation phase to cultivating intimacy with and without sex, to the most common reasons people come to see Vanessa as a Sexologist, to my perception of Vanessa as someone with big feelings and why that seems ironic to them.

Grab a cuppa for this one and enjoy. xx

Vanessa (she/they) is a sexologist, yoga teacher, speaker, community facilitator and pleasure activist of Armenian and Anglo-Australian descent living, loving and working on the unceded lands of the Kulin nation. Their work is grounded in the belief that the pursuit of pleasure is an act of resistance and a liberatory practice.

At the heart of Vanessa’s work is a question. They ask: how can we more fully access the abundance of pleasure that is possible in our bodies, in our lives? As with any good question, it’s not about an answer — but, instead, a commitment to a slow, relational and wildly nonlinear process.
