دار المرايا منبر ثقافي ديمقراطي جذري متعدد الأنشطة، يقوم بإنتاج مواد ثقافية وأدبية وفنية متنوعة، وتتبنى في كل منتجاتها منهجًا ديمقراطيًا وتقدميًا، ومناهضًا لكل أنماط التمييز في المجتمع. وقد تأسست الدار عام 2016 انطلاقًا من رؤية تنظر بشكل نقدي للأصوات السائدة اليوم داخل صناعة الثقافة في مصر، وتحاول تجاوزها والانفتاح على تيار مختلف من الأصوات الثقافية. فهذه الصناعة تتجاهل أحد أهم الأصوات الموجودة على الساحة، ألا وهو الأصوات النقدية والتقدمية لجمهور واسع، أغلبه من الشباب الذين سئموا الصيغ والفرضيات والأفكار والكليشيهات القديمة. لقد تشكل ذلك التيار من الشباب، الذي ينتمي إلى طبقات مختلفة، ببطء خلال العقد الأول من القرن الحادي والعشرين، بعدما أدى إفلاس الحرس القديم المتداعي، إلى جانب غياب كل طرق التواصل الأخرى، إلى انفجار عالم المدونات الذي عبر من خلاله المئات، وربما الآلاف، من شباب الكُتاب والمعلقين والنشطاء والصحفيين، عن غضبهم غير محدد المعالم على الدولة والمعارضة “الشرعية” والنخب الحاكمة والتقاليد والعادات الثقافية السخيفة. وعندما اندلعت ثورة يناير المجيدة، اتسع هذا الجمهور كثيرًا، مكونًا تيارًا تحتيًا مهمًا من الأجيال الأصغر سنًا (18-40 سنة)، التي كانت قد شاركت بحماس في الثورة؛ وكان ما يوحدها ويُعرفّها هو ما ترفضه وليس ما تتبناه، حيث كانت ترفض تقريبًا كل ما هو مسيطر وراسخ، ولا تؤمن إلا بالنقد الذي لا يسلم شيء من نصله الحاد.ئ هذا الجمهور، الذي ينتقد بقوة الإسلاميين والتيارات المدنية الدولتية على حد سواء، يفتقر إلى منبر خاص به. فبخلاف مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، ليس لدى هؤلاء تقريبًا أية مساحة للتعبير والتواصل وتوضيح وتطوير أفكارهم بطريقة حرة وحصرية. فالمسيطر على صناعة الثقافة في مصر هو الدولة والشركات الخاصة الكبيرة. وبالتالي، فإن معظم الأصوات النقدية في الأدب والفنون والفكر وغيرها تكون مرتبطة إما بالدولة أو بالمؤسسات الخاصة العملاقة، اللهم إلا بعض الاستثناءات المحدودة. وهذا ما يُحجم بالضرورة من قدرة هذه الأصوات على التعبير بحرية. ناهيك عن أن ذلك يشكل عائقًا كبيرًا أمام فرص التيار التحتي من الشباب المشار إليه في التعبير عن أنفسهم. انطلاقًا مما سبق تسعى “المرايا” لأن تكون منبرًا يُظهِر ويعبِّر باستمرار عن أصوات ذلك التيار التحتي، كي يكون قادرًا على تطوير أفكاره وربطها بجمهور مهتم وواسع نسبيًا. والحقيقة أن هذه الأصوات النقدية الجديدة، لو مُنحت الفرصة، سوف يكون لها تأثير ضخم على الثقافة المصرية والعربية. فرغم أن الثورات العربية وجهت ضربة قاصمة للأفكار القديمة التي فقدت منطق وجودها، إلا أن الصرح الفكري المتهاوي لتلك الأفكار لا يزال متماسكًا حتى هذه اللحظة، وهو ما يعود في الأساس إلى أن المشروعات النقدية البديلة لا تتوفر لديها البيئة والفرصة للتطور، كي تصبح تيارات فكرية مكتملة. تحتاج عملية تقديم الأصوات النقدية إلى صياغة استراتيجية ذكية تجمع بين الإدارة الثقافية المحترفة والتوجه الفكري الواضح. ذلك أنه لا يكفي إعطاء مساحة لأصوات جديدة بصورة عشوائية، كما تفعل معظم المشروعات الثقافية المستقلة. بل أن المطلوب هو دفع هذه الأصوات بوعي نحو الإجابة على الأسئلة الأهم بطريقة ناضجة وإيجابية؛ إن المطلوب هو دفع هذه الأصوات نحو مناقشة الفرضيات والنتائج التي تتوصل إليها بطريقة متاحة للجمهور؛ إن المطلوب هو الدفع بصورة ديمقراطية نحو خلق بديل أو بدائل للأصوات المحافظة السلطوية، الإسلامية والمدنية على حد سواء. وبالرغم أن مشروع “المرايا” مركزه مصر، حيث ينوي خدمة الجمهور والقراء المصريين، إلا أننا لدينا توجه وطموح عربي واضح. ولعل أحد الأسباب البسيطة لذلك هو أن معظم المعضلات، وبالتالي السجالات، الثقافية المهمة، عربية في طبيعتها. خذ على سبيل المثال مصير الثقافة، أو الثقافات، العربية، في فترة ما بعد الثورات، أو الاستقطاب الإسلامي-العلماني. فهذه موضوعات، بالتعريف، تحتاج إلى أن تُناقَش على مستوى عربي أوسع. انطلاقًا من كل ما سبق فإننا نسعى إلى استخدام أدوات متنوعة من أجل تحقيق أهدافنا، تتضمن: نشر وبيع الكتب”؛ وإصدار مجلة ثقافية تعمل كمنبر للسجال الفكري؛ وإنتاج أفلام وثائقية وروائية؛ وتنظيم ورش للتدريب على المهارات الإبداعية، والثقافة التقدمية؛ وتنظيم معارض، وندوات، ومؤتمرات، ومسابقات؛ وتأسيس موقع إليكتروني.

This Side of Paradise is the debut novel of F. Scott Fitzgerald. Published in 1920, and taking its title from a line of the Rupert Brooke poem Tiare Tahiti, the book examines the lives and morality of post-World War I youth. Its protagonist, Amory Blaine, is a wealthy and attractive Princeton University student who dabbles in literature and has a series of romances that eventually lead to his disillusionment.
