She abandoned 2 children aged 3 years and 5 years who grew up without their mother.
Gail has not been heard from since that time by family, friends or police.
Gail's remains have never been found and no one has been charged over her disappearance, despite South Australian Police stating they have only ever had one suspect for the offence.
A $200000 reward for information has not coaxed anyone to come forward.
There are many twists and turns to Gail's story.
