This week I’m joined by Nicola Lavin. 15 years after getting bitten by a tick on her J1 and 15 tough years of being really sick, Nicola was diagnosed with Lyme Disease.
Yolanda Hadid first brought my attention to this disease on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills as she fought to be taken seriously. Nicola suffered for 15 years and was finally diagnosed. She underwent a stem cell procedure and her life improved drastically.
This podcast is an eye opener but also really important to know what to look out for when it comes to ticks in Ireland for you and your family. I was floored by her story, her struggles but also her amazing attitude to life now.

I’ve been waiting a long time to have Gerry Hussey on my podcast and I really believe in timing. I think this conversation is so needed this week as we all continue on this rollercoaster of emotions. Also known as The Soul Coach, Gerry talks to me today about love, fear, anxiety. How we can change the narrative in our head, how to connect with what’s really important, how we can grow and learn, how we can win the day by changing what we do in the first 15 minutes of the morning. How we can take the leap we’ve always wanted to, how we can break the toxic addition to our phones and how we can give back to ourselves.

This week I speak to Dara Quilty. This is a really important episode about asking for help. And to know that there is always help and support available, no matter what you are going through. I've never touched on the topic of having a sick parent on The Good Glow before but it's something I know so many of my listeners are going through.
My good friend Dara has released an album with his band Apella called 1963 and is giving all of the sales of this album to cancer support.
You can pick up a copy of Dara's album HERE.

It’s an incredible story of love, hope, the fear of the unknown, the incredible rollercoaster of becoming a mother and balancing it all in between.

Claire Balding hit rock bottom after losing her hair to alopecia. She speaks to me today about surrendering, the realities of motherhood and why she always speaks her truth.

Claire always looks on the bright side of life, she finds a laugh in almost every situation and her energy is infectious.
She launched her business Trua hair this year and has so much to say about what really matters, what 2020 has brought to her life and how we'll get through this time together.

Julie Ledwidge has an amazing story of inner strength, the importance of checking in with yourself and a lesson for us all on how looking out for a loved one could their life.
Today, she tells me about being diagnosed with sepsis just days after having her first baby Max. She brought Max home from hospital on Christmas week and was looking forward to a cozy Christmas at home, but days later her mum was alarmed after finding her shaking uncontrollably in her bed. They rushed her back to hospital and she was diagnosed with sepsis. The doctors told them because they acted so fast that they had saved her life. Today Julie speaks to me about her experience. She is warm, so funny and brutally honest about the impact it's had on her. It's so hard to tell your story and put yourself out there but Julie's intention is to make people aware of the signs of sepsis so maybe one day you could save a life.

This week I speak to Rachel Gorry. Rachel is a young mum with three beautiful daughters. Her husband Daniel was diagnosed with cancer when he was 27 and died just 18 months later in April.
Rachel has documented their journey and has been so open and honest about the realities of grieving a soul mate.
Her reality now is something she never imagined was waiting for her, but Rachel gets up and faces every day head on and keeps Daniel's spirit alive for her girls. -
Today I speak to Rosanna Davison. Rosanna found out she was expecting twin boys during lockdown after being told she would probably never be able to carry her own baby after being diagnosed with an immune system issue.
Rosanna and her husband Wes welcomed daughter Sophia to the world by a gestational surrogate in November 2019.
Rosanna speaks to me about processing the news of her pregnancy, her surrogacy journey, how she dealt with 14 devastating pregnancy losses and how Wes and parents are her absolute rocks.
This podcast will make you cry happy tears. After everything that she has been through over the past few years, I think I can safely say on behalf of all of us that we are so happy for her.
