A new raft of 'bromance' podcasts are hitting the market by the likes of Matthew Ridge who wants to go after anyone "woke" and the guys from Sportcafe, Marc Ellis and Ric Salizzo. It's all 'humour' from the early part of the 21st century and we wonder if there is still a market for it. It's overt in its market with Matthew Ridge stating "I don't care if you cancel me" which may have had some credence 20 years ago when NZ knew who Matthew Ridge was, but today one needs to have a profile or influence to be able to be cancelled...so maybe less of an issue for Ridge. We have to talk about the debate Friday NZ time, realising it's been picked over for the whole weekend, we'll just take a quick look at it and what it means from here on for the USChloe Swarbrick faces down David Seymour on housing and rentals and leaves Seymour frustrated stating "you always talk about evidence Chloe" as if it's a bad thing.Sunita Torrance, from Rainbow Storytime, lays down the law to Karen Plunket on him not allowing her to answer a question that he is asking...but then something interesting happens, Sunita shows grace and caring for Plunket...and his tone changes. It's a really interesting watch to see a bombastic, arrogant tool of a man...have to take a breath as his "opposition" is kind to him. Maybe a lesson for us all?====================================Come support the work we're doing by becoming a Patron of â â #BHNâ â www.patreon.com/BigHairyNewsâ Merch available at www.BHNShop.nz Like us on Facebookwww.facebook.com/BigHairyNews Follow us on Twitter.@patbrittenden @Chewie_NZ

Pharmac's funding is great news for NZ and we want to give credit where credit is due to National...however...it does feel like they have been forced into it by announcing which cancer drugs Pharmac was going to fund where they are not allowed legally to make that decision. Christopher Luxon is still happy with the scrapping Labour's ferry deal and flounders this morning on AM when he was asked as to how the NActNZ Government funded 13 cancer drugs plus an additional 41 to bootOsian Llywelyn, the Deputy Welsh Language Commissioner, joins us to talk about how Wales tries to advance their minority indigenous language. We seek wise counsel as to why a Government might want to make their minority indigenous language lesser than it was before they came to power. Is there cracks in the coalition? New Zealand First has invoked its "agree to disagree" provisions in its coalition cause with National over the inquiry. It means the Government's inquiry will go ahead, however, NZ First is publicly stating it disagrees with elements of it. ====================================Come support the work we're doing by becoming a Patron of â â #BHNâ â www.patreon.com/BigHairyNewsâ Merch available at www.BHNShop.nz Like us on Facebookwww.facebook.com/BigHairyNews Follow us on Twitter.@patbrittenden @Chewie_NZ
