What is God's will for my life?
This week’s episode dives deep into this so-simple-to-answer question...
We start with a thought-provoking Instagram reel by Mike Donehey (@mikedonehey), lead singer of Tenth Avenue North. Spoiler alert: God’s will might not be about your career path, hobbies, or even your relationship status.
Join us as we unpack two transformative Bible passages:
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18...Be joyful always, pray continually, and give thanks in all circumstances for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus
Micah 6:8...Act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God.
These scriptures challenge us to rethink the pressure to “figure out” life and instead embrace a calling centered on trust, gratitude, and faith in Jesus Christ. Whether you’re single, dating, engaged, or married, this episode provides a biblical framework for living with purpose and peace in every season.
Discover how surrendering your plans to God opens the door to deeper spiritual growth and joy. If you’ve ever wondered how to navigate life’s twists and turns with a Christ-centered perspective, this conversation will equip and encourage you to anchor your soul in God’s eternal love and truth.

Do you long for "normal" in your relationships or do you embrace the quirk?
In this week's episode, we’re wrapping up our seven-part series on relationship patterns that build strong couples. We dive into the fourth pattern that helps couples “make it”...

This can be the most endearing of the 7 patterns! Get ready to laugh along with us as we share our own quirks (anybody else need multiple drink cups at all times?) and discover why these little idiosyncrasies can actually strengthen your bond.
Throughout this episode, we reflect on the difference between quirks that make us lovable and habits that may harm a relationship. With a healthy dose of humor, we unpack how celebrating your partner’s uniqueness fosters deeper connection and a stronger sense of unity. We’re learning to let quirks bring us closer instead of driving us apart.
Join us as we wrap up this series with faith-filled wisdom and practical tips for loving well—quirks and all. True or False? Avoiding difficult conversations will make your relationships better.
FALSE!
In this week's episode, we’re continuing our seven-part series on relationship patterns that build strong couples. We dive into the fourth pattern that helps couples “make it”...

In this week's episode, we’re continuing our seven-part series on relationship patterns that build strong couples. We dive into the third pattern that helps couples “make it”...
Pattern 3: They had been through really dark times. They had all been through really difficult periods where they were at a Crossroads and even had second thoughts, but they chose to stay together and work through it. This established trust. (From Dr. Nicole LePera – @the.holistic.psychologist)

What happens to a relationship when friendship is missing?
In this week's episode, we’re continuing our seven-part series on relationship patterns that build strong couples. This time, we’re talking all about friendship—because couples who “make it” don’t just love each other; they genuinely like each other, too!
Pattern 2: They're friends. They genuinely enjoyed spending time with each other. They were excited to come home and catch up after a long day. Friendship was the basis of their Relationship. (From Dr. Nicole LePera – @the.holistic.psychologist)
We dive into why a foundation of friendship is essential for healthy Christian relationships, whether you’re single, dating, engaged, or married. You’ll hear our take on what it means to be friends first, how to build trust, and why prioritizing your partner’s joy can transform your relationship. From sharing laughs to supporting each other through struggles, we unpack the Biblical perspective on why friendship matters in marriage and beyond.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7...Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
So, what does true friendship look like in a God-centered relationship? Tune in and learn how building a friendship with your partner can strengthen your bond, deepen your faith, and help you thrive in every season!

What’s more important: keeping family happy or building a strong, God-centered relationship?
In this episode, we kick off a seven-part series on relationship patterns that help Christian couples build healthy, God-centered relationships. These patterns came from Dr. Nicole LePera (@the.holistic.psychologist) who identified these seven patterns in couples who "made it."
Pattern 1: They had family boundaries. They put the relationship first and had clear boundaries with family. They didn't vent to them about issues or make decisions based on what their families wanted. They did what was best for their partnership, together.
Do you struggle to say no to your parents’ advice or feel guilty for prioritizing your partner's needs? You’re not alone! Today, we explore what it looks like to honor your relationship while navigating complex family dynamics.
Drawing from Biblical wisdom and relatable (and funny!) personal stories, we discuss why setting healthy boundaries is essential not just for married couples, but also for dating and engaged Christians. God calls us to love and respect our families, but He also wants us to nurture the relationships He’s placed at the center of our lives. So, how do you “leave and cleave” while keeping peace with your parents, in-laws, and friends? We share practical tips to build a strong foundation that prioritizes your spiritual partnership.
Whether you’re single, dating, engaged, or married, this episode will empower you to set boundaries that honor God and strengthen your Christian relationship. Tune in to learn how putting your relationship first doesn’t mean pushing others away—it means building a solid, faith-filled partnership that’s spiritually anchored and ready to thrive!

What if resilience in your relationships could mirror the endurance of an elite athlete?
In this episode, we reflect on a powerful lesson from the world of elite sports and how it applies to our walk with God and our relationships. We begin by diving into an inspiring Instagram reel shared by Coach Dan Casey (@CoachDanCasey), featuring tennis legend Roger Federer. His message reminds us that even the top players in the world lose nearly half the points they play—but it's their ability to let go of failures and focus on the next moment that makes all the difference.
Through this lens, we also explore how resilience in relationships mirrors the endurance of athletes. Drawing on stories from sports legends like Michael Jordan and Olympic diver Alison Gibson, we discuss how their perseverance in the face of setbacks can teach us to press on in faith, even when things don’t go as planned. Just as athletes learn to trust in their training, we must trust in God's plan for us, embracing growth in both our personal lives and our Christian relationships.
Ultimately, this episode is a call to focus on the bigger picture, trusting God even in moments of struggle or failure. By letting go of past mistakes and moving forward with hope, we can experience the fullness of spiritual growth and build healthy, faith-centered relationships that reflect His grace.
James 1:4-6...Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.

Can I accept (and embrace) that suffering can be for my good and my transformation into Christ-likeness?
This conversation dives deep into the purpose and presence of suffering in our lives, particularly through a Christian lens. Darren Mulligan, the lead singer of We Are Messengers (@wearemessengers), shares an insightful perspective on how suffering is a gateway to abundant life, not something to be avoided or resented. His point is that while the Gospel promises life, that life comes through the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ—through suffering and sacrifice, not in spite of them.
Suzi and Cosmo unpack this by acknowledging that suffering isn't something that we can escape, but rather, it's something that shapes us, deepens our faith, and draws us closer to God. While suffering is hard and sometimes feels overwhelming, it has purpose and meaning when viewed through the lens of faith. Culturally, we have a tendency to avoid or medicate pain, which often only postpones the real healing that comes from facing our suffering and allowing God to work through it.
They conclude by offering prayer and inviting listeners who are struggling to reach out for support, highlighting the importance of community and spiritual connection during tough times. Their message is one of hope, reminding listeners that even in the hardest moments, God is present and at work.
Romans 8:17...Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

What's more important to success: technique or attitude?
In this week's episode of the "I Feel Loved When..." Podcast, Cosmo and Suzi dive into a fascinating conversation that unpacks the importance of attitude over technique, inspired by a motivational reel from @arcstrive.
Listen in as we dissect a thought-provoking exchange between a coach and a young student, and uncover deep truths that apply to our everyday relationships—whether it's in marriage, friendships, or even our work life.
The coach’s answer to the student's question, "What's more important, technique or attitude?" serves as the heart of today's discussion as we reflect on how our mindset shapes the quality of our relationships. But before we can work on technique, we need to be fully committed to the relationship itself.
This episode challenges listeners to examine their own attitudes and consider how their beliefs influence their actions, especially when the going gets tough.
Drawing parallels to Scripture and personal experiences, we explore how a shared vision and a commitment to growth are essential for any relationship to thrive. They also introduce the concept of spiritual health as the foundation for a strong, Christ-centered partnership, reminding us that with the right mindset, any challenge can become an opportunity for growth.
Tune in for an insightful and uplifting conversation that will inspire you to strengthen your relationships through faith and intentionality.

Are your compliments surface-level flattery, or a call-out of a person's attributes and efforts?
In this episode, we're diving into the art of giving meaningful compliments, inspired by a powerful Instagram reel from Mel Robbins (@melrobbins).
We often toss around compliments like "You're so smart" or "You look great," but how much do these words really impact the person receiving them? In this episode, we explore how to move beyond surface-level flattery and into the realm of truly edifying and encouraging others in a way that reflects God's love. Whether it's highlighting a friend's loyalty, admiring their contagious laughter, or acknowledging their growth in a specific area, we want to encourage you to speak words that matter.
We also discuss the importance of recognizing the effort and intention behind someone's actions rather than just praising what comes naturally to them. Complimenting someone on a developed skill or a positive change they've made can be far more uplifting and motivating than a vague, general statement. It's about seeing the person, understanding their journey, and affirming the work God is doing in their lives.
Ultimately, this episode is about cultivating a heart that looks for the good in others and speaks it out, not just to make them feel good, but to encourage them to continue growing in their walk with Christ. When we give compliments that are thoughtful and specific, we’re not only building up our friends, but we're also participating in the bigger story that God is writing in their lives. So, tune in as we learn how to give compliments that inspire, uplift, and glorify God in the process.

Are you feeling invisible or unvalued in your relationships? Or perhaps, without realizing it, are you creating an environment where others feel unseen?
In this episode of the "I Feel Loved When..." @soulanchoring podcast, we reflect on a powerful lesson from a social experiment involving world-renowned violinist Joshua Bell (as shared by No One Knows What They’re Doing (@nooneknows.show) with Erin McGoff (@advicewitherin) interviewing Ryan Stygar (@attorneyryan)).
When Bell played in a busy Washington DC subway, almost no one noticed him, despite his extraordinary talent. It’s a stark reminder that even the most gifted among us can go unnoticed if we’re in the wrong environment. We explore how to discern when you’re in the wrong environment and what it means to create a space where love, value, and humility thrive.
From Psalm 139:13-14, we recall that "You (God) created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well."
We discuss the importance of properly valuing ourselves and others, as God values us. True humility is not thinking less of yourself, but thinking of yourself less (C.S. Lewis), allowing space for God’s love to flow freely through you and into your relationships.
Tune in to discover how to build an environment where you and those around you are seen, valued, and loved as God intended. Let’s walk in the truth that we are fearfully and wonderfully made, and extend that same truth to others. 🎧✨

In this @soulanchoring podcast episode, we're diving into the true meaning of love and acceptance. We listen to an Instagram reel where Jimmy Rex (@mrjimmyrex) and Ed Mylett (@edmylett) contend that what we really want is love, not acceptance.
Do you want your friends to accept you just as you are, or do you want them to love you deeply enough to challenge you to grow? We'll explore the difference and why it's crucial to surround ourselves with people who love us but don't always accept our behavior.
Great leaders and friends challenge us to be better. If everyone around us is always accepting our actions without question, we never grow or expand. We'll also look at how God's love works in the same way. God loves us as we are, but He doesn't want us to stay the same. He calls us to grow, change, and become more like Him.
Let's learn how to love each other deeply, challenge each other wisely, and grow together in our walk with Christ. Tune in and let's embrace the journey of becoming like Christ, loved by God and challenged to grow!
Proverbs 18:24...One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

Do you embrace challenges or do you curse them?
In this week's podcast episode, we listen to a clip from Ben Stuart (@ben_stuart_) of Passion City DC (@passioncitydc) where he talks about introducing his kids to the movie Karate Kid and the mind blowing realization they had during the movie. He is a great storyteller and we found so much depth to his analogy!
In this compelling episode, we dive into the profound truth that Jesus tests us not to break us but to build us. In Romans 5:3-5, we read, "...we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us."
In short, enduring trials is essential for personal growth and spiritual maturity, and we can learn how to embrace challenges as opportunities to deepen our faith and fortify our character. We acknowledge that true satisfaction and resilience come from facing and overcoming adversity. We thank God for allowing us to experience pain because with the proper perspective, it prepares us for our God-given destiny, preventing us from wasting our lives in shallow pursuits.
Join us as we unpack the idea that real growth happens in the crucible of life's challenges, where we find strength, hope, and purpose. Whether your suffering is self-inflicted or a result of external circumstances, this episode will inspire you to seek God in the midst of it and emerge stronger and more faithful. Tune in to learn how to navigate life's trials with grace and discover the divine purpose behind your pain.
