More importantly Cheyne and Luis discuss Luis' experience at working out at Strong New York with his two workout buddies Alejandro and Joseph. The gym is owned by Kenny Santucci and his goal is to bring fitness to the masses that may be intimidated by the average big box gym or full of social media influencers that reinforce Personal Trainer stereotypes or client stereotypes. Cheyne and Luis discuss Luis' recent trip to the South, Nashville. After returning from Nashville, Luis suffers a small injury which leads to a bigger issue. He drops a weight on his toe which leads an ingrown toe nail, which leads to an infection. This experience is very humbling because something as small as an infected big toe nail can really slow you down both mentally and physically. When encountered with this situation you have to ask yourself the benefits or hazards of working out at the same level. Another factor, while recovering, do you change your nutrition? Also discussed in current events is the new female world record for deadlifting. Super impressive numbers by a super impressive athlete.

Happy birthday to Luis! Cheyne and Luis talk about the birthday weekend that Luis had and how awkward he felt during festivities. The reason why Luis felt awkward is because he's used to people showing up for him doing something, he's not used to people showing up for him just being. Luis has now lost the role that he's used to playing. Cheyne and Luis see this happen at the gym when people show up for a class expecting to blend in and not really be seen, but then no one else shows up but them, their expected role of blending in is now gone. What to do and how to deal with these life occurrences is talked about in this episode. Subscribe on whatever platform you listen to this podcast to make sure you don't miss out on any episodes and catch up on any past episodes.

Cheyne and Luis talk about how Luis had someone in his FIGHT class that didn't make it through the whole class and how one can look for certain stress level markers. These markers and others that Cheyne and Luis discuss can help you discern whether or not your at the most optimal for a certain type of workout. Cheyne also talks about his weekend trip to the California and his exposure to underground "wrasssling". During Cheyne's trip to California, he realized the difference in types of commutes between Cali and NYC. Not just the terrain but also the opportunity cost. And by opportunity cost he means how much is lost while in commute, not just in energy or money but just mental exertion.
