In this episode, Iām talking about the real pressure so many of us feel, to tidy up the mess, to make things look āpresentable,ā to smooth out our rough edges when what we really need is permission to be in the thick of it.
I recorded this after a weekend spent building a very rustic, very muddy mud kitchen with my kids. It was messy. It didnāt match the perfectly styled cubby house next to it.
In this episode, I share:
- The unexpected moment that helped me reframe my own perfectionist thinking
- How the pressure to make things ālook goodā adds unnecessary weight to your mental load
- Why Iām choosing to leave our mud kitchen exactly as it is (and what itās teaching me)
- The sneaky ways we polish ourselves up to meet invisible expectations
- What it means to intentionally choose discomfort
- How letting things be messy can actually feel lighter than constantly trying to make them better
If youāve ever felt like youāre constantly smoothing the chaos just to feel āenough,ā this oneās for you.
Sometimes the most powerful shift we can make is simply deciding that the messy middle isnāt a problem to fix.

Capacity is one of my absolute favourite things to talk about (and think about). Because it comes up all the time.
One of the most common things I hear from the mums I work with is this.
I just donāt have the capacity.
Not enough energy. Not enough space. Not enough time.
Capacity isnāt about doing more. Itās not even about time or energy. Itās about the way you think about those things.
In this episode, I walk you through how Iāve shifted my thinking to expand capacity in motherhood and how you can too. I share examples from my own week, what it looks like in real life (with little people in tow), and why our default thoughts often make us feel more depleted than we actually are.
What youāll learn:
ā Why it feels like you never have enough capacity (and why so many mums feel the same)
ā What the difference is between capacity and energy
ā Why your brain keeps telling you youāre full
ā How you can add more breathing room into your week without changing anything thing on the calendar
ā How to spot the sneaky thoughts that drain your mental load without you realising
ā What to do when you want more space in your day but canāt take anything off your plate
If your week feels like one long game of catch up and youāre craving breathing room, this episode will help you find it.

In this episode, I talk about how I may have been opportunities in my every day life to fill my cup, to feel more nourished, to feel more connected, and I wanted to share it with you now.
I share how a simple moment on a plane reminded me to take the blinkers off and rejoin the world around me.
Motherhood can feel noisy, overstimulating and full. So it makes sense that when we get a moment to ourselves, we want to block it all out.
But what if those small, fleeting moments with strangers, at the cafe, at the park, on a plane, are actually what we need to feel more alive, more connected, more full?
What youāll learn in this episode:
ā Why Iāve unintentionally pulled back from connection
ā How small interactions can create big feelings of fulfilment
ā What Iām reminding myself now when Iām tempted to shut the world out
ā The unexpected shift thatās helping me feel more energised in motherhood
If youāve felt disconnected lately, this episode is your gentle nudge back into the world.

Sometimes, without meaning to, we take on more than we need to.
We step in, organise, and micromanage because it feels easier in the moment. But in doing that, we unknowingly minimise the capability of those around us.
In this episode, I share a personal story that made me stop and realise how I was holding onto control at the expense of trusting others.
I walk you through how shifting this mindset has made my mental load lighter and my time away from my family feel easier.

- Why letting go of control can actually lighten your mental load
- What happens when you start trusting others to step up
- A simple mindset shift that makes sharing responsibilities feel easier

How many times have you tried to offload part of your mental load, only for it to boomerang straight back onto your plate?
Maybe you asked for help, but then felt like you had to micromanage the whole thing.
Maybe you held back some details because you had to figure it out the hard way, so why shouldnāt they?
Or maybe you just thought, itās easier if I do it myself.
I hear this all the time from my clients. And Iāve been there too.
If the goal is to actually share the load (not just temporarily shift it before it ends up back on you), then it has to be done in a way that sets everyone up for success.
And this episode shows you how.
Hereās what youāll learn:
- Why you can sometimes (accidentally) set others up for failure when offloading responsibilities
- The importance of creating a communication landscape that actually works
- How to share all the necessary details so tasks are truly off your plate
- What to do when resentment creeps in (because it will!)
If you want your mental load to feel lighter for the long haul, this episode is a must-listen.

Thereās this unspoken pressure that we should want to be with our kids 24/7, that the best mums are the ones who dedicate every moment to their family.
Your family is just one part of the equation.
And when you allow yourself to embrace all the parts that make you you, you donāt just benefit, your family does too.
In this episode, Iām talking about:
- Why time alone (or time away from your family) isnāt selfish
- How your family is one (very big, very beautiful) part of the equation, but not the whole equation
- What happens when you allow yourself to be a full, whole person, not just a mum
A simple mindset shift to help you let go of the guilt and prioritise yourself.
If youāve ever felt guilty for loving time to yourself, this episode is for you.

Weāve been taught that being busy means weāre doing motherhood right.
But what if rest wasnāt something you had to earn? What if it was just⦠normal?
Thatās exactly what Iām unpacking in this episode.
If I want my kids to grow up believing that rest is a natural and necessary part of life, I have to model it for them, not just tell them itās important while I run myself into the ground.
In this episode, youāll learn:
- How rest doesnāt need to be something you feel guilty about - and why it needs to change if it is.
- Why sacrificing everything for your kids isnāt the legacy you want to leave.
- The small but powerful shifts you can make to model rest as normal.
- How to challenge the urge to always be busy, especially when it feels uncomfortable to stop.
- Why your kids need to see you relax just as much as they need to see you achieve.
- How to care so damn well for yourself that the next generation will grow up seeing this as the most normal thing to do.
Remember - rest is not lazy or optional. The more you practice it, the more normal it will feel.

Iām sharing a powerful journaling exercise that has become my annual tradition. This has helped me (and my clients) create lives that feel more aligned, purposeful, and joy filled.

In this episode, Iām talking about the concept of feeling lost in motherhood and, more importantly, why itās ok if you donāt have all the answers right now.
Being a mum is amazing, but itās also full of shifts and changes that can leave us questioning who we are now, what we want and where we are going.
Whether youāre in the early days of motherhood or facing a new season of change, this episode is here to remind you that thereās no rush to have it all figured out.
Hereās what youāll learn:- Why itās ok (and necessary) to sit in uncertainty and give yourself time.
- How letting go of that pressure can lead to clarity over time.
- Practical ways to support yourself when life feels unclear or directionless.
- How to find people who can support you without jumping straight to solutions.
Motherhood takes time and being in the messy middle is ok. Supporting yourself with kindness and curiosity during this time can make all the difference.
Wherever you are right now is exactly where you need to be.
