This is Big Questions of Jewish Belief, the podcast where we face up to the challenges of religious faith. We all have questions about our faith. Questions about the truth of the Torah, the morality of its laws and what it teaches about having a relationship with God.
So each week during this miniseries I’ll be inviting rigorous thinkers to challenge me with their questions on Belief.
My name is Raphael Zarum - I’m the Dean of LSJS - the London School of Jewish Studies, where I hold the Rabbi Sacks Chair in Modern Jewish Thought, established by the Zandan family.
I’m a rabbi and I have degrees in Physics, Mathematics and Education, and I’m fascinated by the relationship between general and Jewish thought and ideas.
I explore these ideas further in a book called ‘Questioning Belief’ which is available on Amazon worldwide (UK link: lsjs.ac.uk/amazonbelief).
I don’t believe in quick responses that don’t stand up to scrutiny. I think we should take questions seriously as they reflect a real desire to understand our practices and beliefs in a deeper way. So you won’t get clever quips and cheap certainties from this podcast, what you’ll get is an honest and open discussion about challenging questions based on traditional sources and modern interpretations. -
How ancient teachings help us to navigate modern life. Every two weeks a new episode offers 15 minutes of sanity, drawing from early Buddhist teachings, designed to wake you up from your stress and misery.
It can be hard to believe that doing something as simple as practising mindfulness will free us, but it will. Don’t imagine that there are secret teachings out there somewhere that you need to go and find. The answer is much closer to home. You’ll find it right here in this very moment. It’s always here and it’s always available. If you’re too busy looking for transcendent experiences you’ll miss it. You can find it in the washing of a cup, the sound of a bird, a conversation with your son, your daughter, your mother, your friend. You can find it in the sensations in your body as you work and rest and live and breathe.
Just listen with your body, heart and mind. -

If content was food for the mind, this would be a highly nutritional snack. We like to say Unwind is a ‘pause-cast’ and each episode is a welcome moment to unwind and refill.

A podcast for every Christian who has ever asked ‘Is that it?’
Mid-faith Crisis explores the Christian faith with honesty and humour. If you feel that you have more questions than answers, if you feel as though your faith is changing, if you feel that if the worship leader sings that chorus one more time you will strangle him with his own guitar strap, then this is the podcast for you. Warning. Contains traces of theology and occasional innuendo. -

The Mind Renewed is hosted by Dr. Julian Charles (UK) and dedicated to understanding the world in which we live from a Christian worldview perspective. We are acutely conscious of propaganda in the mainstream media, and of the bewildering mass of information in the alternative media. We therefore seek to address matters of concern to people (whether they be 'people of faith' or none) in an unsensational and informed fashion, in the hope that truth will be uncovered and that bridges will be built between people through greater understanding. Therefore, whether it be the Surveillance State, the threat of Global Government, False-Flag Terrorism, the danger of New Religious Movements (NRMs), or any other issue too often ignored by the institutional church, The Mind Renewed analyses, interprets and critiques from a Christian worldview perspective.

Take a deep dive into the collected recordings of Alan Watts with Alan’s son, Mark Watts.
Being in the Way is a podcast series that explores the Alan Watts Archive’s 100-hour tape collection - including recordings not heard in 40 years. We will meet some of the people being influenced by the works of Alan Watts today and learn a little of the history behind how these remarkable recordings were made.
Mark and his guests offer reflections on Alan’s ideas— ideas that were radically innovative and groundbreaking in the sixties and seventies, and yet seem to have come of age today.
Being in the Way is brought to you by the Alan Watts Organization, in partnership with Ram Dass' Be Here Now Network.
Check out all of the Alan Watts Organization's offerings at alanwatts.org.

Forsakers of the Faith presents the thoughts, feelings, and events behind the experience of losing religious faith. It’s not really about theology. It is a platform for first-hand stories and reflections on ‘forsaking faith’. We look at the motivations, influences, inner-conversations and actions that it entails.
The show covers experiences from as wide a range of religions as we can reach, but with a focus on Christianity, Islam, and Judaism (Abrahamic religions), as we try to uncover any shared experiences and underlying themes. ‘Forsakers’ also puts the spotlight on those individuals who have not opted into their faith, at least not in their older age, but those individuals for whom much of their life and core identity was steeped in religion and religious practice.
Lastly, as the name suggests, the show gets to the nitty gritty of losing ‘faith’. What happens when you lose the beliefs your life has been founded on? And, when you look at what’s left, is there anything you didn’t expect to find? -
Experiences of awe and wonder can transform us, awaken our intuition, inspire vision and cultivate our creativity and imagination. Such Wonderstruck moments can, in fact, change our lives and the world. From the everyday extraordinary to the beyond incredible, we talk about the what, wonder and wow of being. Delving deeper through levity and thoughtful curiosity, Wonderstruck explores consciousness and those both humbling and empowering experiences that connect us to something greater than ourselves, while generating a sense of community with others and our natural world. Sometimes these tales are so astounding, they are misunderstood, dismissed and even ignored as they don't fit our tendency for tidy rationality and reductionism. Join awe-embracing host Elizabeth Rovere, a clinical psychologist, yoga teacher, Harvard Divinity School graduate and seeker, and a collection of experts and experiencers, shamans and scientists, agnostics, academics, artists, atheists, and more as they share their stories, wisdom, and insight. Every week on Wonderstruck, they'll unpack life's mysteries by bringing the "out there" in here.
Presented by Creative Visions, Wonderstruck Productions, Baillie Newman and FreeTime Media.
