I talk about Harry Potter’s impact on Universal, why these lands are still incredible, and whether it might be time for Universal to start focusing on the next big franchise, the next major immersive land, and the next generation of groundbreaking theme park attractions. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter completely changed Universal Orlando, from Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley to the Ministry of Magic at Epic Universe. These lands are some of the most immersive theme park experiences ever created, and the rides like Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, Escape from Gringotts, Forbidden Journey, Battle at the Ministry, and the Hogwarts Express have become a massive part of Universal’s identity. But with more Harry Potter expansions rumored for Universal Orlando, including possible future additions at Epic Universe, Islands of Adventure, and Universal Studios Florida, it raises a fair question: is Universal starting to rely too much on the Wizarding World? What do you think? Should Universal keep building more Harry Potter rides, or is it time to give another IP its chance to shine?

Dollywood has continued to say that NightFlight Expedition is opening sometime in Spring 2026. But as of today, we’re less than 7 weeks away from the official start of summer, and recent footage of the ride site makes it look like this project may still be a long way from opening to the public. At this point, I’m not sure why Dollywood hasn’t cleared the air with a more specific update. Even if the ride is behind schedule, I think most fans would rather know what’s going on than keep guessing based on construction photos and videos. In this video, I’ll break down the recent footage and photos of the NightFlight Expedition construction site, look at the current state of the ride building and surrounding area, and give my thoughts on whether a 2026 opening still seems realistic.Am I being too harsh, or is it fair to be skeptical at this point? Watch the video and let me know what you think in the comments.
