Backbends can be found all over the movement world. Emily and Sean work to describe what is the best way to generalize what a backbend is, and the key is it starts with your spine ;) We start our lives in spinal flexion, and after we come into the world a new range of motion opens up to us, spinal extension, also known as lordosis or a backbend.
