في هوامش الكتب، يندر أن تجد معلومة محورية جديدة، لكنك قد تعثر على الكثير من التوضيحات التي تفتح أمامك أبواباً جديدة،
الهامش هو مكان متوسط الأهمية، تُدون فيه الأفكار الهامة بما يكفي لأن يذكرها المؤلف، و لكنها في الوقت نفسه، الأفكار الأقل أهمية من أن توضع في متن الكتاب.
علي الرغم من ذلك، بعض الهوامش لا غنى عنها لتفسير النص، و بدونها قد تتخبط كثيرا لتفهم المتن.
الهوامش هي حواشي الكتب المليئة بالشروح،
هي الأطراف التي لا يسلط الضوء عليها إلا قليلا،
هي مساحات الحركة المرنة، التي تخرج عن القواعد الجافة،
في (هوامش)، نقدم قسطاً من التاريخ و لمحةً من الأدب، مع القليل من الفلسفة و المثيولوجيا، و غيرها.
في (هوامش) نتحرك ببقعة الضوء قليلا من المركز لنسلطها علي الأطراف.

afikra is all about asking questions and exploring something new. This series takes some of the questions about the histories and cultures of the Arab world asked and explored in one of our community presentations, and broadens it into a podcast episode hosted by Mysa Kafil-Hussain and Yasmin Khawaja. Joining them are community members from our global chapters to explore a topic that they researched and presented. The presentations are the culmination of the afikra coaching process to help identify a topic, research it and develop the presentation. The goal of these presentations is to showcase the presenter’s curiosity and share some knowledge on a topic related to the Arab world’s histories and cultures.
