Cindy and Larry Lubinus have embraced retirement with enthusiasm and family. You can find this couple traveling to sporting activities for their grandchildren as well as planning trips to special destinations in their Class A motor home. But today, we talk to them about a special road trip they took to experience the colors and sites of the NE during peak leaf season. This is a trip and title I long to take...becoming an official "leaf peeper!"

We have found out in retirement that there are two types of travelers...one who plans the trips and one who encourages that planner! Curt is definitely the planner and I love being the encourager! A buckle list for many and a birthday present to us, the Masters experience was a great treat. Yes, it is birthday month again, and this year Curt and I decided to take advantage of our special "in" to the Masters and travel to Augusta, Georgia for the Masters practice rounds. Although it was a month earlier than our actual birthdays, we decided it was the perfect birthday treat for both of us. The weather was perfect and the company great, a perfect birthday gift to ourselves! Join us today for this episode and experience the Masters with us. And....Happy birthday Curt, I love you more!

No problem for this guy! He has made mountaineering his retirement signature and is crushing it. We all know that health (mental and physical) is a major part of retirement and Jason tells us how he is using his health and wellness to set goals that keep him moving! Today we talk to Jeff Balch from Pennsylvania about his retirement adventure on the Appalachian Trail.
Many retired folks would love to add this adventure filled hike to their list of accomplishments and for those who are successful it is worth bragging about! The Appalachian Trail is approximately 2160 miles of steep mountain climbs and massive bouldering. Hats off to Jeff! What an amazing retirement journey.

Yes, this retiree gets to spend part of her day snuggling with the cutes felines around! This journey not only benefits the kitties she fosters but gives her a great retirement purpose. Well, today we are talking with Jerry Lanser and he not only keeps in contact with some of his best college buddies but does great hiking trips with them too! Retirement isn't only about reminiscing about the "good old days" but can also be about reestablishing relationships and building new memories. Good job, Jerry! Hike on!

Today we meet friends Cherie Pinkerton and Lori Foulds from Manitoba, Canada! These two travel buddies met through work and found out that they share a passion in exploring new places! Curt and I met them on our bike and sail trip through Croatia and felt they would be the perfect pair to talk to about the amazing trip we all experienced! (We even talk about the one scary time that I almost bit the dust right in front of Cherie going up a very steep mountain pass as a tour bus passes us!) It is such a thrill when you meet new friends with common travel and retirement goals!

Do you consider yourself a "foodie"? Curt and I definitely love a good meal, but if it doesn't involve meat and potatoes or peanut butter and jelly...Curt tends turn up his nose. I, on the other hand, love to try new foods and love almost any type of cuisine. In today's episode we meet Martin. Martin and his wife love trying new foods and especially love experiencing the restaurants near his home in London. Let's learn about his wonderful retirement visiting and tasting his way thorough Mayfair's Michelin's and other famous restaurants!
