This week we have an inshore roundtable extravaganza. This week we discuss the current inshore fishing conditions in Alabama, including the focus on redfish, trout, and flounder. They noted the abundance of baitfish like mullet and pogies, and how using live bait has been effective. We also talked about the upcoming weather system bringing heavy rain, and how that may impact fishing by flushing out the estuaries with freshwater. The captains advise being adaptable, fishing the conditions rather than just going to usual spots, and looking for areas less impacted by the freshwater influx. The captains provide tips on using artificial lures like popping corks and soft plastics, as well as techniques for catching stubborn fish like triple tail.

The Alabama Saltwater Fishing Report is your best resource for the Gulf Shores Surf Fishing Report, Orange Beach Fishing Report, Dauphin Island Fishing Report, Mobile Bay Fishing Report, and Alabama saltwater fishing everywhere in between.
This week we talk with William Strickland from Mobile Baykeeper about an issue that is concerning our local fishery as well as the ecosystem here in Mobile Bay and surrounding areas.
What are the primary concerns regarding the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' dredging project?
How might the dredging project specifically impact the Gulf sturgeon and other marine life?
What legal obligations does the Corps have to protect threatened species like the Gulf sturgeon?
How does sediment dumping affect the local fishing industry and habitats such as oyster reefs?
What actions are you hoping to see from the Corps to mitigate these issues?
Can you discuss the support you've received from local fishing associations and charter captains?
What role do local communities play in conservation efforts for Mobile Bay?
How does the recent study on Gulf sturgeon populations in Mobile Bay influence your advocacy?
What steps can the public take to support the protection of Mobile Bay and its marine life?
For our guys looking for the Dauphin Island inshore fishing report or the Orange Beach Inshore Fishing Report, Capt. Richard Rutland and Capt. Patric Garmeson have what you need to know to catch more speckled trout, redfish, and tripletail and how to catch each of these species in the area. The tactics and tips we discuss here each week can be applied to many areas when fishing Alabama's coast and other states along the Gulf of Mexico. When the bite is tough, dont be scared to pull off and target another species. There are lots of species to capitalize in on right now and there is no sense beating your head against a wall if the trout bite is not happening. We talk flounder, redfish, Jacks and more. Great information always flows when you get these two Captains together.
For the Alabama Fishing Report offshore and the Gulf fishing report, tune in for this week's report with Capt. King Marchand. You never know what you might get in the offshore Gulf Fishing report each week. When we head to blue water, we have contributions from some of the best Captain's on the tournament circuit and off who fish for tuna, wahoo, mahi-mahi, and billfish. Captain King is fresh off of a first place yellowfin tuna win in the ADSFR. Capt. King and his crew brought in the ADSFR record, biggest yellowfin brought to the dock in 91 years! We talk with Capt. King about how to target BIG tuna and how it differs from just trying to put meat in the box.
