NATO fyldte 75 år den 4. april, og derfor taler vi denne gang med Danmarks NATO-ambassadør Lone Dencker Wisborg. NATO blev grundlagt i 1949 – efter 2. Verdenskrig og i begyndelsen af den kolde krig.
Omdrejningspunktet i NATO-traktaten er artikel fem – den såkaldte musketer-ed – som betyder, at et angreb på ét medlem skal betragtes som et angreb på alle medlemmer. Målet for NATO er at opretholde og beskytte frihed, stabilitet og sikkerhed for sine medlemmer gennem politiske og militære midler, og i denne podcast ser vi nærmere på, hvordan det er gået. Vi skal også omkring NATOs udvikling i de sidste 75 år og have et bud på udfordringerne de kommende år.

Denmark was once totally dependent on imported oil, but today, 60% of Danish electricity consumption derives from renewable resources such as wind and solar. On a good and windy day, all electricity in the Danish sockets comes from renewable resources.

Finland er ikke bare for sjette gang i streg blevet kåret som verdens lykkeligste land, men er i de seneste år med Ruslands brutale invasion af Ukraine som dystert bagtæppe, også blevet brandet som langt det mest cool af de nordiske lande verden over. Så vi må nøjes med at glæde os over, at vi trods alt vandt over dem i fodbold forleden.
Her i podcasten taler vi først og fremmest om Finlands kommende optagelse i NATO med Danmarks ambassadør i Finland, Jakob Nymann-Lindegren. Hvor stor er opbakningen i den finske befolkning, og hvad betyder det, at Finlands tætteste partner, Sverige, endnu ikke har opnået godkendelse i alle NATO-lande.
Vi kommer også ind på den nuværende finske statsminister, Sanna Marin, en international politisk komet, der på kort tid har formået at brande Finland som en global cool samarbejdspartner.

Årsdagen for den brutale russiske invasion af Ukraine erlige om hjørnet. Siden 24. februar sidste år har mange tusinde ukrainere mistetlivet. Over 500.000 ukrainere er en del af de væbnede styrker, og mange af demer ved fronten. Millioner af ukrainere er enten internt fordrevne eller flygtetfra Ukraine. Hovedstaden Kyiv og andre store byer bliver angrebet med missilerog droner, og der er omfattende afbrydelser af el, vand og varme over heleUkraine. Vi taler i denne podcast med Ole Egberg Mikkelsen, der er Danmarksambassadør i Ukraine. Vi skal for det første høre om, hvordan det er at leve iet land under en russisk invasion – både som udsendt for Danmark og somukrainer. Vi skal også tale om den internationale og danske hjælp og støtte oghøre om den ukrainske befolkning føler de har glæde af den. Endelig skal vikigge lidt i krystalkuglen. On 13-14 February 2023, TC Warsaw organised an officlial study visit titled ”Producing More Biogas with Agricultural and Organic Waste – a Knowledge-Sharing Trip to Denmark”.
The video from the study visit was developed by the Department of Media Communication of the Polish Ministry of Climate and Environment and posted on the Ministry’s social media channels.
The Polish delegation which was led by Ireneusz Zyska, Secretary of State, Government Plenipotentiary for Renewable Energy Sources, and Janusz Kowalski, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and Government Plenipotentiary for energy transformation in rural areas, the Polish delegation also featured representatives of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, and the Polish local governments of Wałbrzych, Szczecin, and Góra Kalwaria.
The discussions focused on Danish experiences in the biogas/biomethane sector, i.e., how to increase the biogas level, the role of biogas in circular economy, and regional development stemming from agriculture and organic waste. The Representatives of Polish and Danish authorities also visited Nature Energy’s biogas plant in Ringe and their laboratory in Odense. The second day focused on practical solutions brought forward by the Danish alliance members Greenfarm, Renew Energy, and Nature Energy.
