The Special Episode 10 of AMIcast is here. It was a long break in publishing the AMIcast SE, so what happened meanwhile?
Together with my co-host Marcin, we analyze what has been interesting so far from AmiWest to the present day. We have updated IBrowse, upcoming new Webkit browser for MorphOS, updates of OWB for AmigaOS, new MorphOS, new Hollywood 8, and Designer 5, new AmiCygnix 1.5. But there is a big lack of A1222 aka Tabor. And there is a king Warp560/1260 accelerator! -
Amiga 34 in Germany was the most interesting part of this year. In this episode, the guest is Adam Zalepa. He is best known for publishing books, magazines, and software. Together with my guest Adam Zalepa we talk about hardware news, new software releases and possible future developments of Amiga.

Pixel Heaven is a big, great indie and retro gaming party. In this year it was the 6th edition. Party is always in Warsaw / Poland. Let's have a look at it. Pixel Heaven is a commercial event. It was a great opportunity to promote Amiga NG! And we did it! I was surprised how many people were interested with AmigaOS 4 and MorphOS! It shows that NG movement should be promoted outside typical retro only Amiga parties. Links:

Another Special Episode of AMIcast. This one is about great events in our Amiga world: AmiWest 2017, USA and Amiga 32 in Neuss, Germany. This is the first episode which is published like a podcast and like a video on YouTube. It's some kind of new approach. What do you think? Episode 25 is all about DIY hardware for classic Amiga! I have a great guest Matthias 'Matze' Heinrichs. He has made a lot of hardware project, like turbo boards, graphics cards, and small useful things. In this episode we talked of course about Matze's projects, all his work is to find at a1k.org forum (big German Amiga forum). He explains why his projects are affordable if the DIY hardware is really hard to build, why we have so high prices in Amiga world, can you make some cash based on a hobby, and much more!

Almost 3 hours of great interview with Jon Lennart Aasenden! Member of Alpha Flight and later Quartex! Now he is developing Amibian.js!
We are talking of course about Amibian.js, but also what is a difference between Amibian and Amibian.js. Between Amibian.js and FriendUP. There are topics about Quartex, crack scene and very technical stuff like object pascal, 68k assembler, C, C# and more. Heavy? :) This isn't all! What about future for Amiga(OS)? Why Java Script is a must have for Amiga, and why Pascal is important. Is it really so hard to bring modern software for Amiga computers? Today's show is all about future of AmigaOS. My guest is Trevor Dickinson! This is hot stuff direct from great Amiga Party in Ireland. The episode has two parts: first is the interview with Trevor, second is recorded audio from Trevor's speech at Amiga Ireland MeetUp 2017. Audio quality is not so perfect, but it's worth to listen. Hello and welcome! This is #19 episode of AMIcast with Hans de Ruiter. This means we are talking about AmigaOS 4 and new graphic cards. The topic is, of course, software from Warp3D to Radeon HD Driver and more. Hans is living in New Zeland, he is an engineer with a Ph.D. On the Amiga scene, he is preparing for us software support for Radeon cards. This means: Raspberry Pi goes Amiga. :) My guest are: Gunnar Kristjánsson and Thomas Navarro Garcia. We are talking about Amiga on Raspberry Pi. My guest explained why Raspberry Pi could be a future of Amiga instead of very expensive AmigaOS. Topics are also how to find new blood for Amiga if really Raspberry Pi can be only one computer at home, why is PowerPC not so good option for Amiga, can you can you develop only on Raspberry Pi, is it possible to use Linux software on Amibian? Hello and welcome - Episode #17 with the amazing guests: Bill and Anthony from The Guru Meditation! They are making a great YouTube channel about Amiga. There is, even more, they are making live streams with chat during the show. Just after their long 5 hours stream we made about 2 hours of interview for AMIcast! It was crazy. :) There were some technical problems with a mic I suppose (nobody knows why), but it's really worth to listen to this episode. The 16th episode of AMIcast is about new Amiga NG shop, located in the USA. It's called Amiga On The Lake. Aaron Smith is a very positive person. He believes in his project, he wants to promote Amiga, especially NG outside our community. He knows that Amiga need new blood and he is a big fan of AmigaOS 4 and AmigaOne line! We know, Classic Amiga has now a lot of fans, but I hope with Aaron we can push much more advanced Amiga in new future.
The shop should be opened on 1st October 2016!

Episode 15 is all about NetSurf with Chris Young. It is possible that NetSurf in future could be only one modern web browser for AmigaOS 4.x (and 3.x). Let's talk about it. Chris Young is the author of port for AmigaOS 4.1 and as well ReAction-based version for AmigaOS 3.x. It was great to talk with him, about a browser, next versions, and possibilities for future. We know that Amiga NG needs a good modern web browser. After this interview, I have hope, that it could be an alternative to not actively developed Odyssey Web Browser.
