Welcome to the very first episode of a new podcast project. After nearly 30 years behind the mic as a radio host and DJ, I took a break. Lately, though, I’ve missed the outlet—sharing music, telling stories, and connecting through sound. So, here we are.
This podcast is new for me—something I’ve wanted to do for a while. Each month, I’ll explore a different musical theme: sometimes it’ll be old and dusty, sometimes weird and wonderful, but always something worth digging into.
For this first episode, I’m starting with some good old-fashioned American music with old-timey sounds: jazz, Jump Blues, Early Country, and southern folk that feels heartfelt and is still alive all these years later.
