FREE CONCERTS ALL ACROSS THE CITY!
MAKE MUSIC DAY RETURNS TO ANN ARBOR ON JUNE 21!The Ann Arbor District Library and Ann Arbor celebrate Make Music Day on Saturday, June 21—concerts and musical performances all across the city in a daylong celebration of free live music.
Make Music Day is a global music celebration that happens each year on June 21—the summer solstice—with countries around the world and more than 150 cities in the United States hosting musical performances all day long.
This year’s celebration features a full day of musical programming at the Downtown Library, six concerts at AADL’s Westgate Branch, and dozens more concerts and performances all across the city from morning into the evening—inside and outside businesses, on porches, in backyards, and the the streets of Downtown Ann Arbor!
For a Make Music Day map and list of all venues and artists, visit aadl.org/makemusic.
AADL is a proud partner of the Ann Arbor Summer Festival, also known as Top of the Park. If you know what that is, great, you know how amazing the start of summer in Ann Arbor is because of it. If you don't know what it is, have I got an amazing few weeks of fun for you!
The Summer Festival happens right on campus by Rackham stretching to North University and it's three weeks of music, food trucks, performance acts, activities for kids, they have a big ol' beer tent, and just all this lawn space to bring a blanket and set up and people watch and listen to music or see latenight movies like Toy Story, The Wild Robot, Wicked, Rebel Without a Cause, and have so so much fun.
Go to A2SF.org and check out all the stuff happening down there, and know that AADL helped bring a few of the big beautiful acts to Ann Arbor this summer, like SQUONK, the Balkan Paradise Orchestra, Kids Rock concerts on Sunday, and so much more. Every day of the week except Mondays through June 29!
THE SUMMER GAME - It's time for the Summer Game!

Meet the HSHV Pet of the week at https://www.hshv.org/petsoftheweek-2/
Hi my name is Ted! I am a good boy looking for an active adopter willing to offer training and exercise — but in return I can offer unconditional love and years of happiness! I do have some big feelings about some things in this world and tend to express this by reacting with barking, and may be a bit too much for some families. I will need to continue my training, and HSHV offers classes for dogs like me! Visit www.hshv.org for more information.
Pet of the Week is sponsored by Mighty Dog Roofing
All the animals available for adoption through the Humane Society of Huron Valley (HSHV) are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on their vaccinations and have a microchip I.D. which is included in their affordable adoption fee. -

We know that one moment shared by one kid and one mentor, can unlock limitless potential. An important heart to heart, or a simple inside joke can be the crucial expression of care that ignites and empowers a child’s bright future.
Being a Big means challenging, supporting, and collaborating with your Little. It means showing up. It means watching with pride as they begin to realize and own their potential. And standing by their side to defend that potential. In just a few hours a month, a Big and Little can change the world together.
It Takes Little To Be Big.

Meet the HSHV Pet of the week at https://www.hshv.org/petsoftheweek-2/
Hi my name is Raine! It feels like I've been hanging out at HSHV forever, and guess what? I'm now up for adoption at no cost!
I am a shy kind of dog who is looking for a patient owner who is willing to give me time to adjust and open up in my new home. I can be rather shy so I would prefer a quieter home without younger children. I will seek comfort from my favorite people while I work on my confidence. If you think you could be my new bestie, let's make it happen—you'd totally complete my world!
All the animals available for adoption through the Humane Society of Huron Valley (HSHV) are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on their vaccinations and have a microchip I.D. which is included in their affordable adoption fee.
