Imagine your boss or colleague gives you feedback on a piece of work. It's good news, they are really happy with the work you have done, they are telling you that everything is great. And when they finish speaking, you don't really know what else to say other than "Thank you." You don't feel this accurate reflects enough of what you want to say and would like to know other phrases you can use. This topic was suggested by listener Jess, based in Shangai. Thank you for your suggestion, I thought it was a really good point and something I thought you could relate to as well.

One of the biggest fears people have aside from spiders, snakes and flying is speaking in public.
As a manager or leading giving presentations is part and parcel of what you have to do, so the question seems to be, how can we make this process better so you can feel more confident?

He is also an associate teacher in Business and Communication Skills at Comillas University. He is an ex-president and member of Toastmasters (Public speaking organization) and has given and evaluated over 80 speeches.
In the episode Chris talks about:

Let's kick off the new year. I have a (rather long) document called "Content Snippets" where I write down all the interesting things and learning points that come up when I'm doing sessions. I really want to share with my "top 3" that have come up a lot recently. First, I'd look at a common word a lot of people don't feel confident using. Second, a common mistake that could cause a BIG misunderstanding. Finally, tips for what to do if you are always looking for the right words when you are giving presentations.
