Jennifer Munson is the technical director for On the Media and a Mastering Engineer at Taloowa.
Jen has engineered some of the greatest musical talents in history. Isaac Stern, for instance. Also Prince, Judy Garland, Jessye Norman, Bruce Springsteen, Madonna, Glenn Gould, Busta Rhymes, Lou Reed and Kathleen Battle.
And also Brooke and Micah.
"They're very much like Springsteen," she says, "only without backup vocals."
In addition to WNYC, Jen has worked for Sony Classical, Gateway Mastering and ABC News. Her first love, however, is singing. Trained at Indiana University, she is an accomplished jazz vocalist and composer of such tender love songs as "Lucy."
Lucy was her dog.
When not recording, mixing and mastering "On the Media," or other acts, Jen is most likely found in her garden.

Carole created the live stand up comedy show FUNNY WOMEN OF A CERTAIN AGE featuring female headliners over the age of 50 in 2017. The show was such a success that it was filmed for the Showtime network. It was the networkâs highest rated comedy special for 2019 and it made TV history as the first comedy special to feature 6 women over the age of 50. His original plays include All Over the Map, Beyond Words, Under a Montana Moon, It Goes Without Saying, Heyokah/Hokehay, Johnny Got His Gun, and The Traveler.
Bill holds an MFA from Rutgers Universityâs Mason Gross School of the Arts, and an Honorary PhD from Rocky Mountain College. Presently Bill serves on the faculties of Stella Adler Studio and the William Esper Studio and has been a visiting professor at Princeton University, Williams University, University of Wyoming, and Ohio University, among others.
This Spring Bill will be a teaching artist at the Terezin Ghetto, a former concentration camp in the Czech Republic. With other international artists and students, he will devise a theatre piece, linking history with current events, understanding the continuum of time and its impact on our lives.

Marlo has directed, choreographed, and developed new work at Second Stage, Long Wharf, Williamstown, Roundabout, Playwrights Horizons, EST, Pittsburgh CLO, and Bay Street, among others. She is the winner of the Callaway Award for Unlockâd, which she directed & choreographed Off-Broadway. Daniel Spector is a teacher, acting coach, and director. He is Associate Arts Professor at NYUâs Tisch School of the Arts, where he holds a joint appointment with the departments of Drama and Dramatic Writing and serves as Director of The Classical Studio, a year-long Shakespeare intensive. He has directed and coached actors on over 50 productions of 26 of Shakespeareâs plays, as well as directing numerous other projects at NYU and elsewhere. He is a member of the Lincoln Center Theater Directors Lab and an alumnus of the Broadway Theatre Project. He has served as a consultant to PBS on matters Shakespearean, led workshop for numerous arts organizations, and spoken at conferences around the world. He recently published an article for the journal Shakespeare titled âTeaching Shakespeareâs Yes in the Era of No," which summarizes his current research interest: the intersection of acting and politics.

Anna Venizelos is a contortionist, aerialist, and acrobat. Sheâs toured with Cirque du Soleil, appeared in âThe Greatest Showman,â and performed with The Metropolitan Opera. Weâre running away to join the circus on this bendy episode, as Anna shares the discipline and skill required for one of the oldest art forms.

Anna came to circus from a background of both gymnastics and dance. After studying dance education at NYU she settled on pursuing her love of contortion, aerials, and acrobatics. She toured with Cirque du Soleil's production of Quidam, performing as a soloist. Other career highlights include appearing in the feature film,The Greatest Showmanand in the Metropolitan Opera's production of CosĂ Fan Tutte at Lincoln Center.
Anna is also a flexibility coach, an FRC mobility specialist and a health coach. She is passionate about helping her clients live their healthiest most functionally fit lives.

Ben Model is one of the nationâs leading silent film accompanists, performing on both piano and theatre organ. Over the past 43 years, he has created and performed thousands of live scores for silent films at universities, museums, and historic theaters, and is one of the few exponents of this craft who is working at it full-time. Ben is a resident film accompanist at the Museum of Modern Art (NY) and at the Library of Congressâ Packard Campus Theatre, and he accompanies silents at classic film festivals around the USA and internationally.Benâs Blu-ray label âUndercrank Productionsâ works with film archives and collectors to bring undiscovered gems of silent cinema to fans. Tiffiney Davis, a resilient Black female community leader, co-founded Red Hook Art Project in 2009 with a vision to provide her artistically gifted children and others in underserved communities with opportunities for growth. Today, as Executive Director, she leads RHAP's efforts to empower students through free art and mental wellness programming, fostering a safe and inclusive space where they can thrive. Her ability to unite the community has been pivotal in RHAP's success, securing $1 million in federal funding through partnerships with 11 local organizations and advocacy efforts, enabling the expansion of programming and establishment of a dedicated studio space. This collaborative approach has been instrumental in addressing community needs, particularly during crises like the COVID-19 pandemic.
At RHAP, they prioritize holistic education, offering free homework help, visual art lessons, and music lessons that foster skills in leadership, teamwork, and social justice. This integrated approach prepares students for success academically, artistically, and personally. In response to the pandemic, she successfully transitioned RHAP to a virtual setting, hosting over 100 classes and providing meals to address food insecurity. Growing up in a musical family (his mother, a professional jazz singer) Steve supported himself through music school by painting houses - and hasnât worked at anything but music ever since.
His versatile musicianship led him to collaborate with legends such as Chuck Berry, Paul Simon, and Eric Burdon, and he's notably contributed to soundtracks for anime series like Cowboy Bebop and Ghost In The Shell, and video games like Sonic and Yakuza.

Gabrielle Lansner is an award winning filmmaker, choreographer, and pro- ducer whose work is influenced by her background in choreography and performing. In 2020, she wrote and directed her first short narrative film, Lullaby to Love. She is also in the early stages of development for her first narrative feature film, STILL LIFE, which she has penned as well.
Her film, the birch grove, 2015, had a successful festival run, screening at the Newport Beach Festival, the Cannes Short Film Corner, and Dance on Camera at Lincoln Center, to name a few. The film won the Grand Jury Prize and Best Experimental Film at the Underexposed Film Festival in Rock Hill, S.C. and composer, Joel Pickard, won Best Original Score from the International Fine Arts Film Festival in Santa Barbara.

Tony Bell has made a career out of playing The Fool as a founding member of Propeller Shakespeare Ensemble. Heâs launching a new role as a writer and performer of his own solo show - which recently received glowing reviews in London. On this episode we talk about projecting and protecting our voices, reinventing yourself, and moving forward.

Tony Bell was a founder member of Propeller Shakespeare ensemble which toured globally for 17 years between 1997 and 2012. The company won many awards including in both the UK and New York. Several productions toured to BAM in Brooklyn between 2003 and 2012. Tony played many of the famous fools specialising in ad-libbing with the audience as Bottom in Midsummer Nights Dream, Feste in Twelfth Night, and Autolyclus in The Winters Tale. During this time he also played The Common Man in A Man for All Seasons which won him a UK Whatsonstage award as Best Supporting Actor. Other notable theatre roles included a Tokyo Theatreâs Best New Play award for Hideki Nodaâs The Bee, and West End performances in Shakespeare in Love, 39 Steps, Treasure Island and The English Game by Richard Bean. Tony has appeared on film in The Crown, Prisoners Wives, Holby City, Eastenders, and Coronation Street. He was a member of the BBC Radio drama repertory company between 2010 and 2012 playing in over 100 audio dramas including Aston in The Caretaker by Harold Pinter. In 2014 when Propeller ensemble ended and Edward Hall left the UK to work abroad (Hall is currently Director of Chicago Shakespeare Theatre) Bell focused on directing and teaching acting students at RADA and other UK conservatoires helping to launch the careers of several successful young actors in theatre and film. This year Tony returned to the stage in his own solo show about an actorâs life and his parentsâ mental health issues. The show, Man In The Rain, has just been shortlisted for Best Solo Performance in the Offies (Off West End awards) and marks a triumphant return to the British stage. Tony plays folk fiddle, sings baritone, plays soccer and lives with his cat Shortbread, and his partner, the actress Caroline Faber, in London.Send us a text
