Have you ever struggled with lower back pain or injured your back before? As a strength coach and personal trainer, I've also gone through my own journey of dealing with and recovering from lower back pain, as well as managing it through injury prevention techniques. Lower back pain is a common concern that many people worry about when they start their fitness journey, but there are often misunderstandings about it. That's why I've brought in a top-notch expert to help us break it down.
In today's episode, I'm joined by someone I've collaborated with before, Dr. Ross Gentry, the founder of Be Ready PT (Performance Therapy) and a highly respected physical therapy expert in Nashville. With an impressive background, including a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Belmont University, as well as certifications as a CrossFit Level 2 Trainer, Certified Strength & Conditioning Coach, and in Dry Needling, Dr. Gentry brings a wealth of knowledge to the conversation.

As a world champion powerlifter, Meghan Scanlon opens up about training as a competitive athlete to becoming a mama of twins and transitioning her training during prenatal and postpartum. Her pregnancy was not a walk in the park but she opens up about some of her complications and how she still found ways to move during pregnancy. Two years postpartum, Meghan surprised herself by taking on the platform again competition and breaking some of her own personal records and another world record!
Meghan Scanlon is a world champion powerlifter, breaking 6 World Records, 12 American Records (and counting). Coming from an active family and a gymnastics background, Meghan first completed 3 Ironmans and 10 marathons before she found powerlifting. Today she shares more about her journey and biggest lessons of powerlifting but we mostly dive into her top tips of working out prenatal and postpartum.
