  • Brittany is a mom of two, a dedicated nurse practitioner specializing in pulmonary and sleep, and a certified pediatric sleep consultant through CPSM. Her interest in baby sleep took root six years ago with the birth of her son, but it wasn’t until her daughter arrived three years later that she fully immersed herself in understanding infant sleep. Both of Brittany's children struggled with sleep early on, which led her to spend countless hours figuring out effective sleep strategies. Brittany’s talent for improving sleep became clear as friends began seeking her advice with their own babies. Often, she would think, "I should really find a way to make a business out of this."

In February 2024, Brittany decided to take her passion to the next level by enrolling in Center for Pediatric Sleep Management’s sleep consultant certification program. She officially launched her sleep consulting business in March 2024 and hasn’t looked back since.

On this episode of the Becoming a Sleep Consultant podcast Brittany shares:
    - What it’s like for her to grow a successful sleep consulting business while working full time and simultaneously raising two young children.
    - How she leverages her medical credentials to stand out in the field
    - The work she is doing to attract her ideal client so her business can work for her!

  • In this episode of the Becoming a Sleep Consultant podcast, I sit down with a very special guest: my 12-year-old son, Sid! I thought it would be fun to bring Sid on the podcast to share what it’s like growing up in a household where mom runs a busy sleep consulting business while also trying her best to prioritize being present for the family. Sid shares what he thinks sleep consulting is, his thoughts on balancing work and family time, and even how he helps out with the toddlers and preschoolers who struggle with sleep.

Sid also shares some of his own creative work—a sports newsletter for kids and families who love keeping up with the game—and even gives some encouraging words for kids whose parents are considering becoming sleep consultants. Sid’s insight and humor made this such a joy to record, and I hope you enjoy hearing his take on our unique family life as much as I did!
