We take you through the second studio album from Brother Ali. Fully produced by Ant from Atmosphere and features from Slug as well. Brother Ali's ability to tell stories through his rhymes and bring you into his world is as good as anyone to ever do it. He is truly one of the greatest emcees of the early 2000's and needs more credit than he receives.

An album that never happened. The Last Emperor was an incredibly talented artist rising through the hip hop scene in the late 90's early 2000's know for his artistic and unique story telling ability. After signing with Dr. Dre's aftermath and never having an album release he was signed to Rawkus records where his fate was the same. Perhaps lost in the mix of Eminem and Blackstar this underground hero never got his time to shine. This compilation of unreleased tracks is one of BWBC favorite albums of all time because of it's unique and raw sound. Enjoy listening to and watching a truly great emcee that unfortunately not too many got to hear.

The third installment from the Brooklyn native and biggest commercial success since 'I got it Made' in 1989. Revelations is filled with boasts and brags about his lyrical superiority. The Beef with Blue cheese crew had some with the irony of those assertions. The at the time 23 year old was not the lyrical genius he proposed to be, but this album was still a fun listen.

"Microphone Check one two what is this". A line and an album that influenced a generation of early hip hop fans in the 90's. From 'Butter' to 'Scenario' this album has it all. Heavily influenced by jazz, funk and early hip hop the group of Q-Tip and Phife Dawg was a mainstay in 90's and early 2000's hip hop until their break up. With the sudden death of Phife in 2015 the appreciation for what the group has heightened. Busta Rhymes made his appearance on 'Scenario' matter when he stole the show and made a name for himself on the rap scene. Walk through one of the greatest albums of all time with us.

On this legendary second album Havoc proves that a kick, snare and high-hat are the essentials to a great hip hop beat. The album's dark style, defined by its evocative melodies, rugged beats, and introspective lyrics concerning crime in New York's inner city neighborhoods, received special recognition and critical praise. One of the greatest, if not the greatest album of all time in our opinion. Impossible kid is 49 minutes worth of a window into the life and mind of the worlds greatest rapper, Aesop Rock. From Rings to Dorks and psychology of Get out the Car/Shrunk/Kirby, this album has everything any below the surface hip hop fan would want and expect. Truly a masterpiece of the hip hop art form.

Bone Thugs N Harmony created their own sound from West Coast influence and their Cleveland upbringing. Eazy E produced this grammy nominated second album from the crew. The "machine gun" style from BTNH delivered by all of the bone members made waves in the late 90's that had major commercial success. Ride along with he BWBC crew as we play "name that bone".

Beef with Blue Cheese #13. Quite possibly the best Wu-Tang album made along with GZA's Liquid Swords. Raekwon's mafioso obsession and style created an album that has held up to this day. The boys discuss it's relevance to this day and how it ranks among the great Wu-Tang albums.

"This is it, what? Luccini pouring from the sky lets get lit, what?" Camp Lo's original style created by Sonny Cheeba and Geechie Suede blended jazz, 70's pop and funk and 90's NY hip hop. This fun, party type album was a mainstay in the cd decks of the BWBC boys for many years in the late 90's early 2000's.

Who's a black sheep, what's a black sheep? The boys take a trip on Engine number 9 way back to 1991 to revisit Black Sheep's debut album that has lived on through mix tapes and DJ's to this day with its iconic track "The Choice is Your's". Dres and Mr. Long have a unique sound adapting Jazz and 80's hip hop to blend into a head bopping NY style of music. I'd recommend listening to the end, but The Choice is Your's.

Near the beginning of Rawkus Records the High and Mighty team of Mr. Eon and DJ Mighty MI release this fun, captivating album that was filled with phenomenal guest spots. Mos Def, Eminem, Pharoahe Monch and Mad Skillz highlighted this late 90's release along with the deep vocal tones Mr. Eon. A lot of fun revisiting this album that was a gem in the underground rap scene that took off in the early 2000's.
