• In today’s episode of Better Lait Than Never, I jumped in with a solo show to talk about what’s going on with the Oilers, Ken Holland's press conference, and offered an extended look at the Evander Kane rumours that seem to have taken over the city over the last little while.

To kick things off, I started this week's podcast with a quick thank you to everyone that listened to the first episode and offered up feedback about what I needed to work on and how I could improve the final product. Unsurprisingly, all of you offered up some amazing feedback that I tried to put into play here on the second episode of the show, but that doesn't mean it's perfect by any means so please keep letting me know what you think. Getting down to business, I dove into what was a very busy week for the Edmonton Oilers despite the fact that they haven't played a game in what feels like 200 years. Not only did we get a press conference from Ken Holland but we also got an array of rumours and ties between the Edmonton Oilers and the newly available Evander Kane. For a lot of us, the idea of signing Kane isn't something we're all that into based on the off-ice allegations but that's not the case for everybody, so I explored the latest news on the troubled forward and offered my takes on whether or not I think the juice is worth the squeeze. Lastly, I wrapped up the podcast with another amazing round of voicemails as so many of you are already buying into this new podcast and chiming in with your own opinions and takes.

  • Yesterday, I told you that I would be launching a new podcast called Better Lait Than Never and today I recorded my first ever episode! In today's episode, I talked about what's going on with the Oilers, the segment of fans that want Dave Tippett fired, and welcomed's Frank Seravalli to give an insider perspective on what the hell is going on around here.

To kick things off, I jumped in with a look at my new show and what I expect to do with it every week. As I mentioned yesterday, this show will be all about the Oilers and your thoughts about what's going on with the team. From there, I welcomed Frank Seravalli to the show to get his take on what's going on here in Edmonton and whether or not he thinks we're getting any closer to a coaching change. I also asked Frank about what he thinks are the next steps for the Oilers as they look to make changes even if they the earth-shattering variety. From there, I checked in with your voicemails and what you think is going on with the Oilers in what was a very fun finish to my first ever solo podcast. Seeing as this was the first episode of my brand new podcast, I'd love nothing more than to have your feedback about how it went. I want to know what you thought of the segments, the sound, the ideas I had, and any other feedback you choose to offer.
