In this episode, we cover:
Why so many mothers feel disconnected from their bodies after birth.
How cultural conditioning and stress impact your ability to experience pleasure.
Small, practical ways to reconnect - through movement, breath, touch, and presence.

In this weekâs episode, I got to chat with Charlotte Ravelid from Mama Time Yoga about the power of yoga, mindfulness, and community in supporting mothers through every stage of motherhood. Charlotte shares her journey from teaching vinyasa yoga to discovering the transformative benefits of softer, more intentional practices during her own pregnancy and postpartum experience.
We also dove into:
How yoga and mindfulness can help mothers navigate stress and reconnect with themselves.
The importance of community and finding shared experiences to combat isolation in motherhood.
Tips for integrating micro-moments of mindfulness into busy days, even when time seems stretched.
Overcoming mum guilt and prioritising self care for greater balance and well being.
About Charlotte:
Iâm Charlotte, a pre- and postnatal yoga and mindfulness teacher, and a proud mother of three. Iâve been practicing yoga since 2009 and teaching since 2017. After having my son in 2019, I discovered that the yoga and mindfulness practices that kept me grounded during pregnancy became even more essential to my physical and mental health as a new motherâdespite my time being more limited than ever.
Through extensive pre- and postnatal yoga training, as well as my own experiences of trial and error, Iâve learned what truly works to help mothers feel their best and enhance their overall wellbeing. Iâm passionate about sharing these tools and strategies to help women not just survive but thrive in life and motherhood.
In addition to teaching, I host a podcast dedicated to amplifying the voices of other mothers who are now supporting moms through their work. The podcast creates a platform for honest conversations, shared wisdom, and solidarity in motherhood. My mission is to foster an inclusive and supportive community where every mother feels seen, heard, and empowered on her journey.
