Paul talks how he got into boxing through fighting and getting into bother all the time.
Boxing saved his life and very nearly ended it. Paul talks about mental health and how the pressure of being a journeyman affected his mental wellbeing.
Paul had 39 professional boxing matches mostly as a road warrior taking fights at the last minute and saving shows. As an amateur boxer Paul rose to the top and reached ABA finals, he thought this would continue as a professional.

Ed Chattey has transitioned from white-collar boxing competing in recreational matchesâto becoming a professional boxer. Based in West London, Chattey made a solid pro debut at the historic York Hall in Bethnal Green in May 2023, winning on points against Victor Edagha. His second fight, against seasoned opponent Robbie Chapman, ended in a draw, marking him as a promising competitor in the super middleweight division. Trained by Matthew Hirst and John Patterson and managed by Steve Goodwin he continues to train at BLAST in Ealing.
